I don’t think he’s the answer. I know he’s carrying an injury but he looks
completely out of his depth whenever he comes on. Lacks pace, has a poor touch and doesn’t particularly hold the ball up well. I have a feeling he’s destined for a decent league 2 /League 1 career but I can’t see it being a long term Boro striker.

Nowhere near as fit as he would like to be. Forced on today because of cramp for both Forss and Greenwood ( thought Greenwood was exceptional today - not seen a player work so hard in a Boro shirt for a long time). Coburn was very isolated in the role he was given as we pushed further and further back for the last 10 minutes. Don't think we have seen Coburn fully fit for some time now.

Whether he's good enough is still up fir debate but he's clearly not fit if you look at the difference in his movement and pressing compared to earlier in the season, not doing him or the team any favours persisting with him instead of getting the injury sorted

He looks terrible… if he’s playing with a hernia (according to the rumours).

Definitely looking more and more like Jon Stead with every performance

If we’re sending him on when he can’t run, but he’s doing it for the team, then fair enough.

Bookmark this thread. He’ll prove you wrong, he‘s going to be some player in the next year or two, but he really shouldn’t be playing with an injury

I love the positivity, but I just don’t see it in his game. He’s a big unit, who can finish. Bit he doesn’t have a turn of pace or have any natural technique.

He will definitely have a career in the game, maybe even at championship level, I just don’t see him as a top level championship striker

Completely isolated when he came on today.. he will come good. 100% Championship striker.. anyone saying otherwise is daft.

Have any of use ever had a hernia injury, the lad is clearly struggling, you could see him limping after 2 minutes of been on the pitch. I agree with one of the replies above, the club should really get this sorted for him. They cannot really have any excuses seen as we have just had another transfer window.

Anyone judging him on that performance is either trolling or stupid. He should not have been on the pitch but on the operating table. THAT was not the Josh Coburn that we know, what we saw was a young lad desperately trying to play through the pain.

Poor call from Carrick to ask that of him.

Thanks for that, Mrs Coburn.

“Also, still have the offer on sausages in the shop… 2 packs for £6”
