Is Swansea heading for a sell out?

Anything approaching the 29-30k mark is a good effort. Especially as Swansea won't be bringing many (not knocking them btw)

Hope it's a cracking atmosphere and we buck the trend and start the season with a comprehensive win đź‘Ť

My initial guess on here was 26k to 28k. I did later think it would be 28k so was about 1,300 out.

I wasn't at the game but there seemed to be only around 300 Swansea.

I don't think having the game live on TV helps the attendance, nor lunch time kick offs, nor the 6% price increase.

Not a great crowd for the first game of the season but not bad. I thought it would be higher especially with the positive feelings around Teesside about the team.
Walk up prices having an effect ?

It (appears!) 11 of the 12 blocks of tickets offered to Boro fans @ Leeds have been sold so close to 4,000 going for the Round 1 League Cup match. They should create a bit of noise and colour.

I remember the dark days when anything approaching 10,000 was considered a bumper crowd.

Isn’t it great in a positive sense that a few on here are disappointed in a 26/27k crowd against average opposition who due to geography and time brought very few fans with them?
I think in seasons to come we'll look back and marvel at the crowds enjoyed last season and possibly this.

Does the attendance include ST holders that didn't attend?

I think there were a fair few empty season ticket seats yesterday. There usually is first game of the season anyway with it being holiday season.
