Is Swansea heading for a sell out?

Yesterday there were still 3.2k left by my reckoning if we sell 1,000 a day it will sell out on Friday. I am not convinced we are selling 1,000 a day.

Myself I would still say a bit less than 28k. Still very good with 6% prices rises, live game and lunchtime KO.

Looks like 2 big blocks just released in the South Stand which has bumped up available tickets to 3.25k, but reduced segregation area. Probably 26.25k home tickets sold add in 750 Swansea gives at a guess 27k so far. I would not panic about getting a ticket. A couple of big signings would of course make a difference.

I don’t think it will sell out, but if it does it could be the lowest attendance sell out we’ve ever had given the away support

The Wigan game was Boxing Day - so Boro sold out the usual 29.5k for BD, but Wigan only sold 1,300 out of a 2,800 allocation and the clubs did not change the segregation.

We will really struggle to sell 29.5k home tickets for a lunch time game in early August that will be on in all the pubs and clubs in the area.

Swansea still had tickets to sell the last time I looked and they have not asked for any more than the just over 1,000 they were initially given. Their fans probably think central Middlesbrough is currently a war zone from all the media coverage of late. I can't see much more than 750 coming. But if 750 came and Boro sold all their tickets it would be a full house of about 30.25k

Looks like just over 3,000 still to sell. Opening the East Stand block and South Stands suggests not many Swansea are coming. So in total at least 30,000 tickets available to Boro fans.

Most seasons we would have just dreamed about 27,000 Boro fans for a game against Swansea.

Over this weekend Leeds will get higher and Sheff Wed and Stoke similar, the rest will get lower than our attendance.

Still looking very healthy for (like you say) a game against Swansea, 12.30 kick off.

The game is on the sky+ channel will it be shown in pubs as red button games weren’t allowed last season,

It's meant to be, yeah.

Whether Sky pull a fast one and change their mind again, like they did with the red button, which pubs used to be able to show legitimately, I'm not sure, but currently Business Sky boxes are able to show it all.
