Is anyone else loving the heat?

You are either all weird or retired with nothing to do

Sorry but if you have to carry on with your normal life in this heat it’s horrible.

Currently sat in the office, no fans. Door wide open, and baking like a spud. But I’d rather that 100x over than miserable rain. Teesside is more beautiful in the sun, it’s downright bleak in the rain.

I’ve just sweated buckets watering the plants in my very small garden at 8am this morning and again hanging some washing on the line. This is bizarrely uncomfortable weather.
It's astonishingly hot been inside most of the day went to pick my daughter up from school and was shocked at the heat as I left the house. Even the wind feels uncomfortably warm.

I work 12 hours outside on the river, one of my jobs is loading tankers when drivers will say its to warm, not for me, I know the alternative isnt pleasant

During the winter period with snow, icy winds, rain, gale winds its a miserable place, although I absolutely love my job, its hard when im stuck connecting hoses to ships, rigging pipework when your hands are frozen, wearing big coat, balaclava, under my helmet, thermals, so give me this weather for as long as possible I know around the corner the total opposite is waiting with a vengeance

It would be much better if I wasn't having to work. But at 38 degrees it's hot and very humid in the south. Might have a beer in the garden later.

Nights are a bit toasty like so sleeping's not great.

It's completely situational. Something I have to do like work then it's too hot. Something I want to do like sit in the garden with a cold drink then it's great. Sadly, I'm working.

My house is well insulated though so having the blinds and curtains shut is keeping the temp down a bit and making it bearable. Tempted to go for a drive just to feel the air-con.

Just been on a video call with someone at work who made exactly the same comment about the wind. Ridiculously warm.

I’m about 20 miles from Cambridge which has recorded 39.9C.

Just been to the loo. The toilet seat was warm and no one’s used it since 9am this morning……😂😂😂😂

Not good (or great) for the alcohol consumption this weather (depending on your POV)

Almost feels like a crime not to have a cold one in the garden in this temp. People pay good money to fly abroad for the same experience.

I've loaded up with about 4 litres of water over the course of the day, so deserve a beer later I reckon!

Hating every second of it. I like mild weather, so spring and autumn are my times of year. I'd prefer the coldest day in winter to this!
