India Covid Situation - Big Improvement

The thing I like is the low key mockery of people following the mainstream narrative by people completely unaware that they are following a narrative themselves.
I know, it's hilarious :ROFLMAO:

I would love to see a full comparison between those that are:
1) For pro-active lockdowns/ majority science/ modelling etc
2) Against lockdowns (of any kind)/ majority science/ modelling etc

Just to see age/ sex/ IQ/ level of education/ average earnings/ type of job etc

Me too... I'm pretty sure it wouldn't show what you think it would.

You missed a few points....
1. research for the AZ vaccine was almost wholly public funded.
2. it's not just about this particular vaccine (which they may not be making money by selling) but the vaccine technology itself which they will apply to other diseases and will inevitably make money on
3. Your option B - no idea what this is.
1) Aye, I know, I thought about 50% came from UK gov, but it's like 40% (40m), best investment we ever made

2) Do you think that's a bad thing? mRNA (for Pfizer/ Moderna etc) will do a lot of good for the world, in so many other ways it's unimaginable, same as viral vector.
3) (Option B) That's waht you've been banging on about for half the thread

1) I'm not going to split hairs but I'm pretty sure that "overseas govts", "charity" etc. were not AZs money either.
2) so they'll make money out of this technology whether they make money out of this vaccine or not
3) Yes, I figured. Still makes no sense.

I love everyman solutions to things. I suppose they could invent a time machine. Give people several years training to become a medical professional. Then send them back in time to when covid started. Hell they could use it to make sure they have proper equipment to! Damn pen pushers!

Medical professionals decide who gets priority over treatment. Isn't this obvious? They always do and always have. If you turn up to a and e with a cut finger you're not going to get in ahead of someone having a heart attack.
I seem to remember the government saying that private hospitals would be called into action to look after patients. Guess that was another lie.

1 - Couldn't care less, it's a good deal to get the vaccine at "cost" or as close to it as possible
2 - Yes, a bit, why not? Everything you buy has somebody making money, most of it you probably don't even need. This is keeping people alive, and ensuring the NHS does not get battered, which then means we can keep the economy more "open", so people don't get hit in the pocket (as much).
Them making marginal money, means we have a solution, would you rather we didn't have a solution? Do you work for free, or for cost?
3 - Ah, so you did know? Make your mind up. Anyway, makes sense to me, and those who support the vaccines and the WHO, EMA, USMA, NHS etc.

Still waiting for you and the IVM lot to get this funding for a large scale, reliable trial? Should be easy if it's so good? Go on dragons den?

Probably, albeit they would struggle with the legalities of it, with it being a private company, which had been taking money off people who it was currently treating (not with covid). Of course, they could only be used if the NHS was overwhelmed, and nobody wanted that (albeit some wanted actions which would have led to that).

Same way they built the Nightingales as a publicity stunt, to appease the Tories and Brexit lot who had just voted them in. Clearly with no nurses to staff them, because Tories and Brexit don't like foreign workers.
