I like this format, most of the games are meaningful and it allows teams like Afghanistan and the Netherlands to develop. It should ensure that the best two teams contest the final too.

Although it didn’t in 2019.

It would be brilliant if Afghanistan qualified. They must be kicking themselves at not beating Bangladesh.

My main gripe is the restricted amount of games per day due to TV demands. The world cup could be over in half the time, cutting costs to each country's cricket association.

One thing this competition has highlighted is how far away we are when it comes to stadia.

The stadia themselves are superb, the travel infrastructure, ticket sales, security and facilities provided are most definitely not.

He got a couple of 70's in the ashes and a 99 not out. Played his part in the context of the series.

In ODI's it's 160 runs in 9 innings, top score 52, a couple of 30's but all the others have been fails. Poor.

His 4 T20 innings include a 70 and 86 not out. Good.
