Interesting that the organisers have chosen to go to venues outside the major cities and to tourist areas. So no games in Mumbai, Delhi or Chennai.

Great for the visiting spectators. Would have loved to have gone.

This mornings game is in the world’s biggest purpose built cricket stadium. Capacity all seating of 136,000.

If England can score at 5.5 runs per over in tests I wonder what they can achieve in an actual ODI...

I fancy england to retain the trophy, the Aussies are coming into batting form too.
Malan top tournament bat, Bumrah top bowler for a small double

It may hold 136000 but with 15 mins to go there are a sea of empty seats. Now I looked a month ago and you couldn't get a ticket. So either they didn't sell them or there an awful lot of people outside?

I really hope that dew isn't a major factor and takes all the skill out of the game, leaving it as whoever wins the toss wins the game.
The T20 World Cup in UAE was plagued by this and the team who batted first mostly lost. I dont think they have that issue in India as much. Fingers crossed anyway.

Theres being a right f**k up on the ticketing for the whole tournament, story in the observer, loads of tickets didnt go on sale.
India v Pak though changing hands for 50k

I'd be more confident if it wasn't in India (or Australia). If it was in NZ, WI or South Africa, I'd probably agree. Shame the holders don't get to choose the next host.

All games on 5live sports extra for those who cant watch, thry reckon theres 20k in the ground not surprisingly mainly in the shade
