Wayne Rooney type player. Has to work hard as a striker due to his size, up against big Championsip defenders. Makes good runs but needs to pass to team mates who are in a better position, rather than try impossible shots. At his age and with his hunger, he will only improve. (y)

It seems that’s exactly what his role is. Obviously he would like a couple of goals between now and the end of the season as do we, but he is certainly contributing and helping us on our way. The threads hammering every week are over the top. He’s got a massive part to play between now and the of the season.
 
Conolly is improving every week, he had some great touches yesterday and was far more involved in the game.

I think Wilder has got it right at the moment, Watmore is a great impact sub we all know he can’t last much more than 45 minutes, so he’s a brilliant game changing option.

Balogun is improving too although he does get knocked off the ball a bit too easily (unlike Connolly). Coburn is getting his minutes at the end of games which is great as he’s getting used to being involved with the first team on a regular basis. Sporar is a bit short of form at the moment…so I think overall Connolly and Balogun should be starting.
 
I think he works his socks off for the team, chases everything and gets in good positions. He’s been unlucky not to have a couple more goals but might just be a confidence thing in front of goal- he really should have scored yesterday when Bola put it on a plate for him.
I think he’s a better team player than Balogun, but Balogun is clearly a far better goal scorer.

There is absolutely no chance Arsenal will let Balogun go on loan next season, even if we are promoted (imho). I think he will be very much an Arsenal squad player looking to break into their first team.

I think he's more like Paul dickov than Rooney annoying little pest for the opposition with his workrate but unlikely to score more than a handful a season.
 
He was superb yesterday. Caused all kinds of problems and won free kicks high up the pitch. We have to remember neither he or Balogun had kicked a ball prior to joining us. It's taken a month or so to get fully up to speed.

I'd rather have Connally running the channels and grafting than Britt and Fletcher swanning around at 50% effort.

Yes we'd love him to score more and I'm pretty sure he would. Yet you have to he an idiot not to see how is 'role' is defined in this side. He grafts and presses. That's more important the way we play.

His goals are actually pretty irreluvent as long as we keep winning. If we were losing or drawing 0-0 then maybe. Yet he's part of a winning side.

I think haters are just going to get used to the fact he's first choice. Also maybe have one eye on next season as it wouldn't suprise me if we loaned him again or even bought him. So they will love that. Probably following him on holiday so they can take a photo of him having scran 😂
