Helloooooo from the hozzy!

Sorry everyone, didn’t mean to worry anyone.
Been having rather a rotten time of it during the last few days & nights too.
Thankyou so much for all your lovely best wishes msgs & helpful advice/experiences on here.
Plus Thankyou to quite a few folk who sent me very detailed private msgs in the envelope thingy at the top of the screen page. Gosh some of you guys have been thro a right torrid time and you really are something else, you are helping me so much, bless yous.

Like I said earlier - rough few days & nights.
However I’m very pleased to report that I’m still alive & kicking atm. But I’m not going home any time soon.
I’m so grateful to you all that providing tomoz is a better time, I’ll try & get on here sometime to reply to your lovely, very kind & thoughtful posts. And also the really great private msgs too.

Night Nurse has just come in & bollocked me for being awake at this time. She has ordered me to get into my bed & sleep!

Hopefully I’ll see all you wonderful FMTTMers sometime tomoz.

Btw, heard your FA CUP result earlier today.
What a ruddy bummer, am right sorry about that. I was convinced & had a sneaky feeling that The Boro would go all the way this year.

Righteo, bed & sleep are deffo calling me now, so Nighty Night guys & gals. Sleep tight & stay safe everyone.

Byeeeeeee!

Hi Carmen.

I didn't think it possible that I could be cheered up by a few words, for me, to be now looking forward to going
out to dinner with my wife and catching up with family and friends.
Your words that you are still alive and kicking has certainly done that though as I am now very much looking
forward to the event in a couple of hours time.

I'm sure that it wont go unnoticed that I am unusually chirpy after a Boro loss and will happily explain the reason
why and I will make a toast in your honour.

Wishing you, as all on here will, the very best wishes and a speedy recovery and look forward to many more posts from you.

Another thousand hugs and xxxs are on the way to you from Oz and hope they arrive when you first open your eyes
this morning.
xxxoooxxx

You're hard as nails lass. Kicked the sh1t out of cancer on more than one occasion and now you'll do the same with this.

Get well soon lovely lady

Blimey Blondie I've only just seen this.
Talk about getting your moneys worth out of the NHS girl.
Good to hear you are feeling a bit better and getting told off by the nurses.
My best advice to you is keep away from the pork pies.

Hi all,
Before I nod off (I am extremely sleep-deprived!) I’ve come on here to say Thankyou for the super msgs (particularly my new found mate from Oz who’s post really struck me) - thanks a lots to all.
Also to give yous a very quick update on what’s happened here in hozzy………..

Gonna have to make this update brief (shock horror!) due to the above sleep deprivation, some nasty water retention and my BP experiencing a abnormal drop to ‘my normal’, I’ve been ordered back to bed & sleep!
I did some seriously weird stuff in the wee small hours of Sunday night in this bay. Will have to tell yous all about that another day when back home, its rather funny.

“Righteo Carmen, here goes, make it short girl!”………….

UPDATE:
Basically I went down for Angiogram yesterday morn @9.30sm & after recovery I was back on my ward @2.30pm.

To fix my dicky ticker I’ve been fitted wiith 2 Stents.
Sooooooo, after just shy of one whole complete week in here, I was sorted out.
No more severe chest pain!
Hopefully, I might be going home later today or maybe tomoz hopefully.

So that’s it for now folks, I know what’s best for me & will get me back home, I’ve got to be a good girl & do as I’m told, (like most of you advised me to do) ie: bedrest & sleep to sort the above probs out

Correction: I’ve remembered now…….
When you’ve experienced sleep deprivation, your mind does some seriously weird tricks on you I’ll tell ya. I had no idea at all what I’d been doing until the nurses told me the next day. OMG! LOL.

P.S. Flamin’ Nora, I think I’m incapable of typing a short post!
So sorreeeee to anyone who’s switched off half way thro these two posts or lost so many minutes of your life reading them, lol.
Look, I’m flippin doing it again!

Deffo going now!!

Glad you got your stents. The important thing now is rest and more rest. They will let you home once they have titrated your medications. So rest and recuperate, be a lady of leisure for awhile. If you have any worries/anxiety about anything meds/ treatment etc mention it to the staff they would far rather you ask than be worrying.
ps Join the rehab group if they have one it's another source for info and advise.

Again I’m sorry, still not had time to read all the posts yet, nor read all txt msgs & FB Msgs, inbetween my priority of ringing my nearest & dearest too. Am trying to answer and do everything & not upset anyone, it’s quite time consuming.
So please please forgive me guys & gals, I’ll now try to reply to these posts asap after getting home, resting and catching up with my sleep - whenever that may be.

UPDATE;

On that very subject of getting home - it’s now unlikely that I'm going home today.
My Cardiologist came round @12.15pm and asked how I was. Told him I'm good and then he reported back to me what he'd had to do & why, and that he believes everything was successful.
But he won't know for 100% definite until I have a gel ultrasound scan of my heart.

Yes, I understand why I need to have this scan. What I can’t understand tho’ is why neither he nor any of his team informed me of the need for this scan before I’m allowed home, on either of the two other previous occasions they all visited me by my bedside prior to when I had the Angiogram yesterday?!

They deffo explained to me, in great detail exactly what had happened to me last Tues morning - why it had happened, what exploratory procedure would be needed, then what operation choices were involved all in order to resolve/fix my problem and then finally how long after all that I would be allowed to go home.

But not once did any of them ever mention the possibility or the subject of an ulstrasound gel scan!

So as yous can probably imagine, I am a tad miffed that’s it’s suddenly been been raised right no, when I think it’s all over & done with, and I’m more than likely gonna get home today!

Sooooo, the upshot of his visit to me this lunchtime is.,,,,,,,,..
I’ll be having this scan either today or tomoz!
Doesn’t know which yet.

Then the Radiologist has to send his findings to my Cardiologist, for him to then assess the results. Next he will revisit me on the ward to tell me the results and hopefully tell me I can go home!
I'm desperate to go home, but I'm not getting upset about it, which I probably would've done before my heart attack.
However I know I can't afford to or allow myself to get upset from now on cos of my heart problems.
So I was really proud of myself earlier cos I didn't get upset and was actually just being realistic.

Realistically, I would say it's highly unlikely that they're gonna get both the scan and the results done AND then the discharge letter and the pharmacy prescription too.

So I've decided if in the unlikely event I do get to go home today, it'd be a fantastic bonus!
But I've actually resigned myself to that I'll be going home tomoz instead!

It’s ok, I'm now getting a tad closer to leaving and going home.
I've got one foot out the door today, lol.
Then I reckon tomoz, I'll deffo have two feet out of the door!
So tomoz I’m gonna start off walking as quick as I can & not look back!
Woooohooooo! Get In!!

TTFN folks.

The ultrasound scan is called an Echo-cardiogram and assesses the pumping action of the heart and bloodflow through the heart, it's really important so they can assess how much damage the heart attack caused. Be a patient patient. :)

They don't want the likes of YOU cluttering up their lovely cardiology ward, they want that bed for someone else and you, young lady will be out on your ear as soon as they can get shot of you! Seriously, just chill, take the time to just do nothing, doing nothing is very under rated it gives you perspective. You'll soon be up and about.

Get well, not quickly, but completely and at your leisure. ☺️

So tomoz I’m gonna start off walking as quick as I can & not look back!
Just walk comfortably not quick as you can.
Seriously take it easy, it will be better for your heart and your mind.

The Echo is a piece of cake, is just looking at your heart structure and valves. You'll be right.

Well blow me! Am currently lying in a hozzy bed at Royal Derby.
At 11.30pm last night I got very severe chest pains. Knew something was wrong so called out Paramedics/Ambulance.

Given my history with cancer round the chest area, ie: breast & lungs - I thought it was probably to do with that.
But oh no, I’m not that lucky - I’ve only gorn & had a blummin heart attack haven’t I!! FFS!

I’ve done the tears thing. Done & dusted.
Hardest was telling my partner & friends who couldn’t believe it and understandably in shock themselves.

I’m still in shock too atm.
It’s totally the last thing I expected.
Still trying to take it all in.
Keep having to ask the Docs/Nurses and Cardiologists to explain all this new terminology to me, doh, lol.

Any fellow FMTTMers had a similar experience who may be able to offer me some encouraging & positive thoughts perhaps?
Maybe some advice or words of comfort?

Looking forward to hearing back from yous.
Cheers
Carmen
