Has anyone got a holiday coming up?

We are due to go to Lithuania in 3 weeks... can’t see it myself. Has anyone else got one coming up?

Going to my son’s wedding in Canada in early June, supposedly at the time the virus will peak. I’ll be gutted of course if I can’t go.

I'm in Muscat at the moment (working not on holiday). They have just stopped issuing tourist visas, just as they were mid effort to increase tourism. The Mrs was off to Alicante too in a couple of weeks. The area she was heading too is on full lock down, bars etc. shut and police clearing people off the streets. So that won't be happening.

Trip to Lisbon in may with dad and brothers. Ryanair pushed the flights back by 2 days yesterday meaning would only be there for a day, taken the offer for a refund and AirBNB have Refunded the apartment. Travel industry and hospitality industry is going to get decimated

hays will be in big trouble after their recent acquisition of all the Thomson stuff

Cyprus in May. Don't think that will happen now, even though travel agents yesterday said all is ok at the moment.

We are going to Sri Lanka tomorrow. They have only had five cases so far but a bit worried about turning up and getting quarantined.

Also Croatia in July.

Prague at the end of April
Rhodes at the end of May
Majorca at the begining of August

The flight ban will probably be extended for Prague so that won't happen.
No cases reported in Rhodes so slight chance it might happen.
Tour operator will probably have gone bust by the time of the last one.

Was meant to book in December with family but none of us could get the same dates for May so didn’t bother... so glad we didn’t now.

had a discussion about going somewhere in the UK in August as the prices are ridiculously cheap at the moment... but just canned that idea for now until we know where we stand with lock downs

Was meant to fly to Prague this morning.

Iceland at Easter, zero chance of that happening.

The travel industry will be decimated. Airlines will start going under, hotels/restaurant/bars as well.

Got Tenerife in April which is looking increasingly unlikely. Majorca in June and then Budapest at the end of September. Hoping it will all be back to normal by then.

Munich in May, Lisbon in July and Wroclaw in August! Certainly can’t see Munich happening at least.

Had Italy booked next week. Flights and hotels all refunded without any quibbles even though the accommodation was non-refundable. No problem with Ryanair, even. Local rail transport in Italy also refunded. In fact, the only organisation which won't be refunding me is - surprise, surprise - The Vatican for their museums and Sisteen Chapel entrance fee.

Also have flights for Spain booked at the end of May but have left them as they are for now.

Due to fly to Spain on Monday. Don’t think I’ll go, even though airline are saying they are still flying. Hope they Change their mind.

Kefalonia beginning of May and Benidorm late May with the lads.

We were holding back on booking the flights out to Benidorm expecting them to come down. On Monday they were £175 yesterday they were £113. The late flight out was down to £35, although I doubt if either will be going.

Also going to Cyprus in May. The flight is still only half full.

Our business runs a travel company. We had a brilliant January - all for nothing. Cancellations galore.
Its worse for independent Travel if they have not cash. They don’t get paid anything until holiday is fully paid for.
I know one has simply sent their staff home - no cash

Also feel for Hays Travel that family business that tried to do the right thing and rescue Thomson’s travel agents.

Still planning to travel to Majorca this week for a cycling trip. 12 of us. Two cancelled because of worry. In the balance.
