Has anyone got a holiday coming up?

Orlando in August for big family holiday, balance is due in May for a lot of money so need to ring them before that happens. I’ve also booked an Airbnb in Windsor for the Easter holiday week doing the theme parks with the kids, surprisingly LEGOLAND is still open today but expect that to change and I’ll have done my money on the cottage no doubt as there’s no point in going if all of the parks are shut.

Got time off due, which I have to take by end May. 22 days, thought it'd be a good idea to hoard it for a nice break. Can carry 5 days over but as far as the other 17 are concerned need to use 'em or lose 'em. At least I've not booked anything that's going to be cancelled by somebody else.

Cancelled 2 weeks in Sicily last week. Turkey in mid April but I guess Turkey itself might ban UK flights before that date.

I had Brasilian friends coming in late April to London, then onto Scandinavia. I told them to cancel - which they were about to do anyway. The media/conversation view in Brasil is avoid Europe.

Our business runs a travel company. We had a brilliant January - all for nothing. Cancellations galore.
Its worse for independent Travel if they have not cash. They don’t get paid anything until holiday is fully paid for.
I know one has simply sent their staff home - no cash

Also feel for Hays Travel that family business that tried to do the right thing and rescue Thomson’s travel agents.

Bulgaria in May. Just waiting for an email to say cancelled.
Cruise in September, hopefully should be hunky dory by then.

NYC in April. I can't see that one happening. I imagine from May onwards things will start calming down and restrictions might be lifted. Also going to Amsterdam in June. One of the lads has refrained from booking because of the situation. I told him it'll either be calming down by then, or we'll all be dead, so might as well book it!

Bit drastic there smalltown

Granada via Malaga on Monday now cancelled.
Rome on May 4th looking doubtfull.
Marrakech June 1st,who knows ?
I have friends out in Marrakech at the mo, only 7 cases there so far! In all of Morrocco
I actually would be hopeful about Rome, given how bad the situation is there it must be near peaking, it'll start dropping off soon. That's the thing about these infections, the worse they are the quicker they cal back down.

The problem with self isolating is what happens when everyone goes back on the streets?
We don’t know but, one thing for sure, the virus is still around?

In my town there is a Hays travel agent and a new Hays ( ex Thompson ) and Tui
Went past them all this morning and not a sole in any of them. Just worried staff sitting looking at each other. Great shame.
