theres zero chance of Boro getting Gyokeres - one, we couldnt afford the fee and two, Connolly (his mate) will tell him to give us a swerve, even if we could.

howmuch better it would have been if Connolly was able to say - "to be honest mate, i had a mare up there, but the fans were different class - backed me every game, even when i was not doing the business - they'll be with you through the tuff times, go for it with them"

probably add another 10 million on to that. Fulham wanted him in january and got quoted 20 million I think

I have no idea whether Gyokeres is the real deal or not. I remember Cov being a very good side at our place this season and them being very unlucky to lose.
I see he has scored goals last season and I see he is a full Swedish international now. I see there is real PL interest in him.
I'd be excited by his signing.

He's scored a good few goals for a mid table championship side, he's an international now, he's at an age where he has a sell on value, good disciplinary and injury record so yeah if we got him i'd be very pleased but not if it meant we had to shop in the bargain bin for creative midfielders and goalkeepers. There's going to be loads of teams in for Gyokeres, teams with more pull financially and geographically, than us.
