I only realised how good Elton John is when I saw him live at Newcastle not very long ago.

He is outstanding, one of the all time greats.

He played at Darlingtons then football stadium about 15 years ago. It was about 200 yards from my house, so I sat in the bath and listened to the whole blooming thing. Very good too.
Not many people can say they've been entertained by Elton John whilst they're having a bath.

You are right that age has caught up with him but this will still go down as one of the greatest sets ever seen at Glastonbury, few performers can bang out hit after hit like Elton, or play the piano like he does, he is a master showman.
