Glastonbury 2023

I missed that set and totally gutted, oh lucky you though!
It finished with three lions and you could spot the proper seeds fans dotted around that were furious with the decision :ROFLMAO:

Had the crowd bouncing though. Good gig.

I missed plenty i would've liked to have seen. Nature of the beast though i suppose!

(Got the reference ;))

His "next summer" comment may have been reference to their summer tour. Tickets went on sale shortly after their glasto set.

Obviously can't discount that they might play but
I get that and all of the best bands have evolved considerably over time. I don’t ever remember a band though evolving though to the point where they rework their most popular and beloved hits in concert to the point where it is turning people off
You've never seen Bob Dylan then? (And I say that as a massive fan).

It's a full on arts festival. There's circus, poetry, book readings, plus loadss of different quriky things going on. The site is massive and there's way more to it then the music.
It's hard to appreciate until you've been and had a 'wander' around. We spent nearly all day Thursday in the Theatre and Circus fields alone for example. The music is a significant part of the festival for sure but it wouldn't be the behemoth that it is without everything else that they put on.
It's a food festival, it's an arts festival, it's a kids festival, it's a music festival, its a civil rights festival, it's a comedy festival and you can you go on and on ...all wrapped up into one big beautiful b****d of an event.

So many choices and not enough time that would send me into a complete head spin

Really? I was in the middle of the crowd and didn’t see or hear one “serious Seeds fan” annoyed that they played 3 Lions. I was just disappointed that Skinner and Badiel didn’t rock up.

There guy in front of me had been bouncing to every song and he literally turned round and stood facing his mates once three lions came on 😂

Guns and roses shocking had to turn it over but Christine and the Queens are brilliant atm what a voice
I just used the search function to search this thread.

Looks like this is the only mention of Christine and the Queens from when the festival started.

Plus there was only one other mention on the thread from before it started.

i am amazed by this.

His stuff has been brilliant for years.

Just a shame that Redcar comes from a reference to red cars.

My favorites were Fred again, Hot Chip (hugely under appreciated band) leftfield, viagra boys and war on drugs. I also finally got to see k klass who were excellent. My only dissapointment was lana del rey turning up late and not performing the last 30 mins of her set. She's dead to me now as it upset my kids.

She’s a Bonny lass but she’s put a fair few clem on since I last saw her.

Hope he has a good birthday - should be able to with tickets at over £350 this year :ROFLMAO:
Only joking - still good value and the fella deserves a medal for what he has done over the years

Happy Birthday Mr. Eavis

Not decided whether to try for G tickets this time. I'm definitely doing Bearded Theory and I have tickets for Northern Kin (carry over from this year - I had COVID) so I already have a busy early summer. Last year's headliners were underwhelming and the cost has jumped up again. Dunno.
