Fury v Whyte

but you can't rule out Whyte so easily.

A lot of people seemed to be saying this pre fight, but why what was the basis for this when fury had faced better fighters with harder punches and won.

I just didn’t get the whyte hype.

The reality was always going to be a fury win the only issue was when would he stop him/knock him out.

Neither need each other. Both could retire and live happy lives. Both multi millionaires

For their reputation I mean, brand AJ needs that fury fight for his credibility otherwise there will always be that question mark hanging over him.

But yes money wise they are both sorted for many many lifetimes.

Very true, it’s all on aj next fight. He wins he can pursue fury, he loses he’ll probably have to go whyte/wilder route

Could he survive another loss though??

For me his credibility went when he he took that Saudi fight shocking PR move and showed he is just a brand after all.

If Usyk is 100% prepared I'd expect him to beat Joshua and probably stop him this time. The superior boxer usually wins in a rematch and if AJ gets well beaten then very few people will be talking about him and Fury.

The only fight left then for Fury would be Usyk, Joshua would be an afterthought and I wouldn't be surprised to see AJ retire if he loses again.

I was 99% sure of a Fury win, I predicted 10th round for Fury. I thought it would be in Furys game plan to lean, jab and outbox Whyte until Whyte gassed out later In the fight, hence why Fury came in lighter for this one. Fair play to Tyson aswell once he hit him with that uppercut he could of followed through and hurt Whyte but pushed him away instead. Also hats off to Whyte he was caught cold but still tried to get up before the count although he was a bit Bambi on ice, he is a tough fella.

Fury won every round for me. Whyte tried to change things by roughing it all up. Fury showed exactly how it is done.

No doubt someone will come along in a minute and try to diminsish Fury for some reason, saying that he has not fought Joesph Parker or someone else.

Winner of AJ / Usyk next I hope?

But surely if ( and it’s a big if) AJ wins the USYK will demand a rematch as its 1-1 so fury won’t be next.

The mental gymnastics to prove AJ has a better CV must be getting increasingly difficult!

That seems to be the way these days and heavyweight boxing is worse off for it. If AJ wins, then I personally want the Fury AJ fight that has been talked about for what - 4 /5 years now? If AJ loses again, then I dont see where AJ goes after that.

I personally think that Usyk will win again, and then we get to see Fury Usyk, which should be a good fight, but for me Fury wins that one.

Amazes me people proclaim Fury to be by far the best of this era but he has yet to fight AJ, Usyk, Whyte, Parker, Pulev, Ruiz, Joyce, Povetkin etc etc.

Wilder is overrated garbage. He too has avoided nearly every heavyweight of any substance. His best win was against Ortiz who has beaten absolutely nobody.

Fury's win against Klitschko win 8 years ago was outstanding. But he needs this fight to see how good he really is.
AJ - Would like to see this fight but AJ keeps losing at the most inconvenient times
Usyk - Might happen if he beats AJ again. I think we want to see this fight. New on the heavyweight scene, so I dont understand why Fury is criticised for not fighting him yet.
Whyte - we can cross that off your list now
Parker - Trains with Fury. Cant see a fight happening between these two. I think Parker is not quite at the same level.
Pulev - Good fighter but nothing suggests to me that he would beat Fury. Not fought since 2020.
Ruiz - Had his moment in the sun and then threw it all away by not taking his AJ rematch seriously. Does not deserve another crack at the world title.
Joyce - No head movement, very predictable fighter. Unproven at world level. Fury would box his head off. Has only fought 3 times in 3 years.
Povetkin - Retired, over the hill. Russian , so fight could not take place now anyway.

So - which of the above do you rate as better than Fury in this current era? What more does Fury have to do?

The list is ridiculous. The fact that Povetkin and Pulev are on there shows how little he knows about boxing.
