Fuel shortage

I drove past at least 6 closed garages in Bedfordshire today. Drove from Cambridgeshire to Whipsnade zoo and didn’t pass a single garage that was open, apart from a busy Tesco in Flitwick.

Toddington got fuel as had dunstable and Houghton. Not been over to flitwick for a couple of weeks so don't know how it's been there generally. Our local station is getting fuel delivered every 3rd day, sometimes every other day.

I drove through Dunstable today and didn’t see a single petrol station open. That said, I only passed two or three smallish ones there and don’t know the area. Out my way in Cambridgeshire, there are 6 garages locally and I’ve not seen more than 2 open at the same time on any occasion since I drove home from work on Friday evening. I did manage to get some after a relatively short queue this evening though, so hopefully things settling down

Fuel issues here in Weymouth this evening too. Sainsburys out, Morrissons diesel only, BP had both and had about a quarter of a mile queue. I'll try again tomorrow.

One day we went to sleep in the EU and the next we woke up in post apocalyptic Mad Max world.

I can just imagine the UK film version of Mad Max, no body armour, face paint or feathers, just trackies, baseball caps and battles to the death over trainers.

Passed my usual garage in gateshead 6 times which has been closed all week but went to work early yesterday and it was open with only 2 cars in front so put £30 in as I was on about 1/8th of a tank. That'll see me OK for a couple of weeks ish

I'm surprised BoJo is not diverting fuel from NE filling stations to his chums I'm the south. Mind, having said that, he probably is but can't get enough drivers.

Thanks, that’s very kind. It was just a one off trip over to Whipsnade zoo with the little person though. Thought he might be at an age where he starts noticing the animals but he was more interested in the gliders that fly over the Downs!

You also get paragliders on the downs who are fun to watch. They also do akite festival on the downs which is great for kids. They're is one guy who flies 3 stunt kites in an ariel ballet all by himself. One in the left hand one in the right and one attached to his waist.

Free to attend and anyone under about 10 years old will love it.

I'm not getting involved in the whole Brexit argument but the mathematician in me does question your equation, which would mean that no-one who voted remain is a racist. Which is doubtful.

That sounds really good, will keep an eye out for that in future. Don’t really see many kids out flying kites these days, which is a shame.

That's what hypocrisy is though. He constantly says I voted for brexit because I voted for tories despite me explaining why he was wrong. Now it turns out he voted for a hard brexiter and has explained why he didn't vote on brexit grounds. It's a slam dunk, clear cut hypocrisy

It is at our garage glover. They were running out of both lost week.

Just read that the 'crisis' is almost over and the panicking is leveling off. The refueling is outwaying the amount needed.

I'm not sure they have got that memo around me. 4 out of 4 stations closed (including sainsburys).

Drove Darlo to Boro (taking me dad for his booster jab at the Riverside) and all petrol stations were open and quiet that I passed.
