Fraudiola

That’s it his fan boys have always claimed he’s THE best, now he’s been found wanting again they’ve quietly shifted it to ONE of the best.

I don’t even think he’s one of the best in all honesty. He exists in a Harlem Globetrotters field where he’ll only come into already successful clubs with the best players, biggest transfer budgets and wage bills.

He couldn’t do what Klopp has done at Liverpool on that budget.

He couldn’t do Dyche has done at Burnley, he can’t organise a defence.

He couldn’t do what Ranieri did with Leicester.

He couldn’t do what Mourinho did with Porto, he knows one way of playing.

He could do worse than take a smaller job now and try to make a big success of them. Much like Jose and Carlo have done. The reality is, if he keeps going to “big” clubs who expect to challenge for the CL, he’ll be expected to win it, and that is all he’ll be judged on.

I was wondering how long it would be before Pog posted something like this.

Guardiola is, by any measure, an extremely successful coach and calling him a fraud is just a bit silly really.

It's only really Man City fans opinions of him that matter at this time and I highly doubt any of them are calling him a fraud or a failure.

wouldn’t be bothered if he left, he’s not achieved what he came to do.

His objective was to achieve the CL and he was given a contract in which to do it.

His contract hasn't finished yet.

So bring yer moaning back same time next year, assuming he fails again, because you're getting a bit ahead of yourself 😘

He's been itching to post something like this for the last 2 seasons, but he couldn't do it when Pep obliterated the Premier League most points tally 2 seasons ago, and he couldn't when they won the Domestic Treble last season.

Pep's record is incredible.

What he done at Barca will probably never be done again. The football they played was sheer ridiculous. Even Fergie admitted he couldn't do anything to stop them in those Champs League finals.

Then he went to Bayern and ripped up the records book again.

Then came to City and smashed numerous records yet again. And in 4 seasons, he's won 6 trophies - not including the Community Shield wins.

Haters will just continue to hate.

In 3 seasons at Bayern, he won 7 big trophies.

If that's what you call a fraud, then I'd love to see what you call a success

He won 5 trophies in 3 seasons (can’t do a like for like comparison with Super Cup and Club World Cup)

The previous manager won 4 trophies in the one previous season.

Doesn’t look so impressive now does it?

Ah, discounting Super Cup & Club World Cup because it doesn't fit your agenda?

Pep's first season at Bayern he also won 4 trophies.

No that's not impressive is it...

No you just can’t do a like for like comparison as they weren’t eligible for it the previous seasons, and he was only able to win it as the previous manager had done what he’s failed to do without Messi.

I've just noticed you included the DFL SuperCup

If that's the case, then Pep has won 8 trophies at City in 4 seasons, an average of 2 trophies per season.

Yeah, he's a fraud alright!

TBF, his time at City has hardly been a resounding success. His first year was a disaster, and this year not much better. Two good years in the middle, but I don't think anyone is looking at his time at City and saying its been fantastic.

It's such a weird obsession, you were posting these sorts of threads on the old board years ago too.

Like I said previously, he's been dying to post a thread on Pep for the last 2 seasons, but he couldn't do it. 2017/18 Pep broke the Premier League record for most points tally and he couldn't post a thread about Pep last season when they won the Domestic Treble last season.

Must've been eating away inside him for the last 2-3 years.

Depends on how you see it. 6 trophies (or 8 if you include the Community Shields) in 4 seasons is hardly failure.

He's won more trophies in those 4 seasons than any other club in England.

I don’t think trophy tallies are what anyone will judge him on. The city fans don’t care about the domestic cups anymore, he could have won them both every season and it wouldn’t be what he’s judged on. The charity shield and what not even less so.

He’s basically won 2 PLs out of 4, and not got past the QF of the CL. It’s a middling record when all is said and done. Some are up in arms with him for not buying a decent defender last summer.

I take it you don’t like that one because he failed to win it on three occasions?

If he was eligible to win it then it’s a fair like for like comparison.

What we’ve established though is that in Munich or Manchester, he hasn’t won anything the previous manager hadn’t already done.

If he was the best manager/coach in the world then given the best players and biggest budget in footballing history he’d be winning Domestic/European doubles, trebles, quadruples and winning back to back UCLs.

Fact is he’s done none of that.
