Formula 1 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix

Giovannazzi the latest person to get upset by Mazespin. Although I don't think overtaking on an out lap is that bad, but it's not the done thing anymore is it?

Not so much the overtake but the position on the track and how close he was to the other car when he did it.

I genuinely believe he's going to seriously injure somebody if he isn't reigned in soon. Surely Gunther knows this.

Ahhhhh Lando! That was nearly amazing.

Pretty shocked that Max was out qualified by Checo. Still, for the first time in a long time red bull can plan a team strategy. Thanks to that and Bottas being, well simply not good enoguhy

Interesting grid, especially with Perez second on the softs
Ah forgot he was on the softs. Red bull could go le man's style and have a "Tortoise and hare" strategy, Max going long in the first stint and Checo flying off

Absolutely gutted for Lando but like commentary said, rules are rules.

Once Danny Ric is comfortable in the car McLaren could upset a few Mercs and Red Bulls going by this early form. To think the experts were predicting Aston Martin to be the third team 🤣

The advantage Norris gained was minimal, correct to give the penalty but their pace is only just behind the top two teams. Can see them getting a few podiums this year

I love Lewis but to suggest he no longer has the fastest car is laughable.

You can argue that red bull have 'as fast a car' mind.

Unfortunately with an absolute nothing driver like Bottas in second seat you can't really know.

Too early to really tell until we see a few different circuits, but based on Bahrain quali the red bull looks significantly faster so far

Merc will regret not giving Russell that second seat, having Bottas that far away really limits them on strategy tomorrow, and with the midfield closing up to the top teams that will happen so many times over the season. Once Perez gets up to speed with that car it’s going to be tough for Mercedes

Plus Verstappen didn't seem that upset with qualifying third. Accepted he had made a mistake but I think he fancies his chances of winning the race. As well as the cars being more closely matched I think Verstappen seems to have matured and is looking more composed.
