Erimus. Tip. To keep punctures to a minimum always keep your tyres pumped up to at least 90psi if you are using a road bike and in the summer ideally 100-115.

Cheers zoo
The annoying thing is I usually have my tyres solid, soon as I can feel any air needs putting in the tyres are deflated & then pressured up to at least 100 psi, this morning I thought better & wrongly, I would pump up the tyres tonight, cycled 2 miles to work & hit a pot hole close the the yellow rose & bang a puncture

So now we have the results. Processed on my new surface go 2 tablet. Looks like it produces better results images.

Here are the words and videos from junos_boots:

Paul Merson

Music video is Run DMC V Jason Nevins

Anyway the goals

First up v Liverpool (1st leg) – this was the goal that best summed up how he was used and how confident he was in his finishing. This was a vital goal that led to all of the fantastic scenes at Riverside a few weeks later. Couldn’t get a ticket for this one but there is a pub in Cheltenham that will still remember the idiot doing laps of the bar (before he was brought to an abrupt halt a couple of minutes later)

The trip to Port Vale on a spring evening was a game where we got battered (well they had loads of chances), but mainly because of Schwarzer, we came away with a victory. The vital goal that ensured the win came with Merson back to his best role in the team due to Branca’s sad injury against Man City.

My third favourite was calmness and cockiness in equal measure. Again he had run in behind the defence and this time nutmegged the keeper.

Dec 1997 v Ipswich https://youtu.be/HZw1f05v12I

The penalty versus Liverpool was close to getting on the list as it was a great moment, but I just couldn’t bring myself to including a penalty in this list. Might be a guide for future players.

We almost had a full house. Just NZBoro1 stopped us from having a tie break situation.

Next round is Hamilton Ricard. As mentioned earlier by junos_boots.

Answers by 12:00 noon UK time tomorrow (28 May 2020) please.

I have a ready made excuse for my measly one correct answer out of 3, similar to the Boro arriving late, getting changed on the bus & then running straight on the pitch up till kick off, 😞

I was just sarcastically typing who is this mystery man Rickard and you nipped in before me :)

That Swindon game was hilarious with the Robin mascot doing a death wire slide at half time - I think we should get Roary doing similar things

Ricard

My goodness this is going to be difficult. He scored some great goals and didn't he just like some teams in particular Wimbledon Arsenal and Spurs! Also how many droughts did he break in between that flurry of goals. Anyway I drew up a short list of 9. In chronological order they are

His first against Tottenham in September 1998 working a 12 one two with Mikkel Beck and smashing in on the run.
His first goal away against Wimbledon in 98 a classic diving twist header from a Mustoe cross
His shot/hook over the keeper against Wimbledon at home from a Keith O'Neill knock on. 5/4/99
Following season a breakaway goal from a Gascoigne through ball 10/8/99 running half the length of the pitch to plant the ball home. The cameras almost missed it being fixated on Gazza.
Sunderland at home 6/11/99 a curling rasper from the edge of the area into the top corner
Coventry at home 19/2/00 what a thunderbolt into the top corner from 25 yards
Arsenal home 12/3/00 having being gifted th eball by Vierra he beat two men including a nutmeg to smash the ball home.
Bradford FA Cup winner at Valley Parade a shot from a standing still position lifting the ball from 20 yards into the very top corner of the net
The goal that won the League for Man United in April 2001 - a one two with Windass to toe bung the goal home at Highbury.

I going to plump for

1. Goal against Bradford in the FA Cup 3rd Round January 2001 at Valley Parade. The Standing still curler

2. The blockbuster against Coventry at home on 19/2/00

3. The run from the half way line then the one two with Beck against Spurs - his first of his two at WHL in September 1998

Your thinking is like mine. So far I have narrowed it down to 7 to choose from. Still thinking which ones to choose.

Zoo, you're a man after my own heart with your war & peace write ups, love em, enjoying the quizzes as much for reading your posts 👍

I also enjoy reading what people write, their memories and thoughts and it was the main reason why Spanishman and I didn't go for the multi choice option that we thought about.

For me this has been the hardest yet, I could pick 3, then another 3 & after that, another 3

He scored some cracking goals against top opposition too, one in the cult hero bracket

No1 - Spurs away on the 12th September 1998

No2 - A thunderbolt at home to Coventry on the 14th February 2000

No3 - And only because of him finishing in among the Boro fans at home to Southampton on the 14th March 1999

Probably No3 won't be on many posters list of selected goals from Hammy but to not only chase a lost cause but then end up in the Bob end to celebrate is well worth a gold bar 👍

As Churchill said about Russia (to paraphrase), an enigma, wrapped in a puzzle wrapped in a riddle, or something.

Anyway, I'll go as follows;

1. Spurs away - 98
2. Bradford in the cup
3. Coventry 2000

Hamilton... you never knew what you were gonna get.... murdered spurs and scored a worldy against bradford .... I enjoyed his time here
As I posted earlier alan, do you think he was a cult legend?

Isn't he still our top Pl goalscorer in a season? Not too sure if Viduka, or JFH beat his goals record
