Love that Kowalski, that has to be the post of the day for meGary Hamilton does a little shimmy, the Middlesbrough fans go absolutely wild. Loved him. Great to see him in so many replies.I sold him some nappies once at a supermarket I worked at. Also John Hendrie and Bernie.
Thanks Erimus74. Do you know the game that was said in?Love that Kowalski, that has to be the post of the day for me
18th May 1988 - Bradford SF 2nd leg at Ayresome ParkThanks Erimus74. Do you know the game that was said in?
Certainly was that game, nice one. One of my favourite ever games too.18th May 1988 - Bradford SF 2nd leg at Ayresome Park
1986 Boro legend scores the 2nd goal taking us through 3-2 on aggregate, one of the best nights at AP
I was thinking of Jim Stewart, our record signing GK, I liked Jim, met him at a former players reunion, massive hands like shovels, not a patch on Jim Platt who John Neal thought would replace himI don't see Jim Stewart mentioned here, a reliable understudy to Jim Platt (and far better than any keeper we have had for a few years).
My top 5 (6):
Gary Hamilton
John Hendrie / Bernie Slaven
Graeme Souness (although as with others I was probably too young to appreciate him..... I also rememwber being soured by his Liverpool departure)
Barry Robson / Willie Falconer
Barry Robson shouldnt even be spoken in the same sentence as the other Strachan players brought over, he was class for us, scoring some terrific goalsJust off players i saw, and im not counting Morrison cos he's as Scottish as i am which is not very much, it has to be Barry Robson. I saw Hendrie but i was too young to remember him, so Robson gets it but maybe he only stands out because the rest of his countrymen who joined around that time were all rotten but yeah Barry Robson for me.
Christ I feel even older after that post than I did after a day power washing yesterdayJust off players i saw, and im not counting Morrison cos he's as Scottish as i am which is not very much, it has to be Barry Robson. I saw Hendrie but i was too young to remember him, so Robson gets it but maybe he only stands out because the rest of his countrymen who joined around that time were all rotten but yeah Barry Robson for me.

Why did so many Boro players buy nappies from you? Or have I misunderstood and you sold Hendrie and Bernie to Hammy?I sold him some nappies once at a supermarket I worked at. Also John Hendrie and Bernie.
Agree with that 100%Souness….one of the best, if not THE best player, I’ve seen play for MFC
