Digital season card passes at the riverside stadium

My son has just been given a digital season card as he turned 22 years old. He's away on holiday for the Huddersfield match on Saturday. Tried the same as you online to transfer, i didn't succeed either. However went to the ticket office today and explained the situation and they printed a match ticket for the game so I can pass on to my mate on Saturday

This is my point, why the ambiguous "alternative options" just give us the choice. Why do I have to fill out a form detailing my reasons for not wanting a digital ticket?

Presumably so that they know which of us are refusing it on principle.
 
I know going forward as areas are phased in the option is there to opt out, but were new season ticket holders/ those changing seats/concessions offered the option of season card or digital?. I'm thinking probably not.

I don't know if there is outside pressure on clubs but it looks like it is going to be a really gradual phasing in here. For instance no extra fans will be asked to go digital v Huddersfield. Then it will be one section at a time with lots of support/hep/guidance around that area of the ground - that is what we have been promised.
The technology reads phones and season cards at the turnstile. It is brand new. It took 25 years to renew. That is what I am going on.

It’s not been as much as 25 years since the last change. We still had books with tear out slips the season of the UEFA cup final for certain, although that might have been one of the last seasons.

They were - exactly the same process - fill in the form and receive your physical SC.

Because its relevant. Its their form - if you think its ok for them to move the goalposts yet again after three weeks - question them! Thats why!
Why did they tell us the cost of equipment if they arent going to go completely digital.
Or was it just friendly advice. Use your brain.
This week they announce people were wrongfully charged for transferring tickets and are being refunded.
The queue to the SW corner last week was under Sheppardson Way.
Its a balls up.

A form that no longer exists!

I don't have any questions, I'm not a simpleton who can't use a smart phone. In fact, quite looking forward to when they change my plastic card to a digital one.
