I am guessing because they are mindful of how slow the uptake was to people signing in to the website and getting digital log ins for ticketing. It probably took years to reach a majority of fans.
I don't know if there is outside pressure on clubs but it looks like it is going to be a really gradual phasing in here. For instance no extra fans will be asked to go digital v Huddersfield. Then it will be one section at a time with lots of support/hep/guidance around that area of the ground - that is what we have been promised.
The technology reads phones and season cards at the turnstile. It is brand new. It took 25 years to renew. That is what I am going on.
