It's pretty badly written. This would be better:From Derbysob storystatement:
A planned sale of the club and stadium that was due to close in January 2020 collapsed when the EFL was coerced into challenging the Stadium Sale transaction, a charge that would be dismissed some 9 months later.
But I thought the club didn't own the stadium? How can it be included in a sale 18 months after they've already sold it?
Will be intresting to see what the administrator values the ground at.But...Derby could sell their £80m stadium right?
Sorted.
They don’t own the ground so it’s not their asset to value…..Will be intresting to see what the administrator values the ground at.
hopefully the 9 points will be suspended until the end of the season and only applied if Derby survive, if not then applied next season. You shouldn't be able to serve two punishments simultaneouslyI strongly suspect they're going in to administration because they don't think they're staying up anyway with the EFL punishment.
Take the hit now and wipe out the debts.
They'll be suffering over this for a few years yet, the fans have had no say in how those upstairs run their club but will just watch & suffer seeing the club they love fall apart, no fans deserve whats gone onDon't forget a 2 year transfer embargo for going into administration.
there is a value to the rental contract for use of the ground.......unfortunately it's a negative value, or what's commonly known as a debtThey don’t own the ground so it’s not their asset to value…..
The company that owns the ground has also called in the administrator. It isn't just Derby County but all associated companies including those that own the training ground and stadium. They don’t own the ground so it’s not their asset to value…..
Look at the name of the person that started that post
It's an absolute messThe company that owns the ground has also called in the administrator. It isn't just Derby County but all associated companies including those that own the training ground and stadium.
Totally agree, how can any of our fans wish that on another set of fans, it wasn't there doingDeserve the points deduction for the cheating, but don't wish administration on them.
We've been there, i wouldn't wish that on any fans.
Wow Morris has absolutely FUBAR'd Derby. There will always be the odd derby fan that will want to blame Gibson, but it seems most see the light, Morris gambled and failed, and worse he cheated, got caught, while gambling and failing. The company that owns the ground has also called in the administrator. It isn't just Derby County but all associated companies including those that own the training ground and stadium.
