I have never liked Eddie Howe from his Bournemouth days and always felt he had a dark secret to hide behind that boyish smile. My dislike for him went up a notch when he took the Saudi silver to line his pockets.

Well, you won’t have long to wait because he will probably be the first casualty of the premier league manager sacking season.
He will be gone by Xmas because he is now out of his depth and doesn’t know how to handle these mega rich players and his tactics are found wanting - at best(!)

That interview with Henderson this week was absolutely pathetic.

Not with standing the moral arguments any england player playing in the saudi league should be dropped purely for playing in league of the standard Scottish division 1. Theres no way playing in that league keeps you to a competitive standard for international football.

Money talks in most sports, it's up to the leaders of the sport to stop it coming from the wrong people,but unfortunately the premier League couldn't care less as long as there have 'the best league in the world '.
The more money there is the more the fans suffer,prices go up and the fans just keep paying so there is no incentive to stop these owners.

Remember when we were relegated in 97, the reason Juninho had to leave was that Scolari (?) told him he wouldn't be picked for Brazil (98 WC looming) if he played in League 1. So off the Atletico Madrid he went.

Obviously doesn't apply to the current team, but was an interesting stance. All Blacks probably take it one step further.

Cannot see how these players (Henderson with more to follow) can maintain high level match sharpness and motivation with a bulging bank balance and tin pot league trophy the only things to play for.
