Can we move on now...

This place has been pretty embarrassing the last few days. People getting worked up by absolutely nothing. Let's just concentrate on the last four games.

You clearly read what you want to read. It doesn't take much to search back to find comments like "sack him now", or "he best go now he's not to be trusted" "damaged good eff off" etc etc.
None of that was there before he fuelled speculation!

I dont think its possible to properly move on from that, clearly something in it or he would have just denied it. Fully expect we will be in the same situation if we begin next season well and a decent job comes up elsewhere

So basically you want him to deny not going for a job. Does he have to do this every time a job becomes available? What about the opening for a manager in say France or Italy.

And Capy I know that's a double negative.

I think unfortunately some people will think like that definitely.

For me his handling of it was poor. Whether that was due to some disagreement behind the scenes or because he was genuinely hoping he'd be offered it we'll never know. But he's addressed it, Gibson is satisfied (who knows more than anyone what, if anything has gone on) so that's good enough for me.

My suspicion is that the meeting with Gibson about "planning for next season" was about providing assurances both ways. Both seem satisfied.

I'm confident he's going nowhere till at least the end of next season now (bar disaster on the pitch which is a different matter altogether).

Why do you hate him so much?
I dont hate him at all, i just dont think hes the messiah figure like some on here. in fact i dont hate much apart from delusional Geordies. I think hes a good not great manager, but far far better than we have had in recent years. I didn't like the way he called out the players like" international Paddy MacNair" the other week why say international other than to humiliate mcnair. Yet he wont criticise the forwards he has signed who have been abysmal. When he said no comment about warnocks retirement as well i thought that was really petty. I am happy to back him if he gets things right on the pitch. Do i trust him, not really i think he's interested in his own success rather than anything long term and sustainable for the club and would jump at the first better opportunity rather than finishing something he started here, in other words his moral compass was bought at same shop as Steve McLaren. Finally anyone who needs to claim themselves as honest publicly in interview normally isnt.

Why was it poor? Do you go home to your partner and say I didn't play away yesterday?
