When is the question we should be asking. It looks increasingly unlikely that it will happen before Dec 31, but the EU is famous for "going to the wire".
Talks will not cease after that and it could be we have a deal sometime in 2021

May I point out that these negotiations are not to loan a footballer - they are between the EU block and the UK to resolve over 40 years of political agreements & treaties. I wish I could share your optimism, I really do.
