I really don’t see us losing it. Could imagine another 2-2 draw or a narrow 3-2 win. They haven’t won a series here for 22 years and while that run will come to an end at some point, I don’t think the time is now with some of the quality England have.

That ignores what really happened in 2019. Australia retained the Ashes in 4 tests, and didn't really bother with the dead rubber fifth test.

With respect, that’s absolute rubbish. It wasn’t a “dead rubber” as they’d have much rather won the ashes 3-1 than scrapped “retaining" the Ashes with a tight 2-2 draw, if you know any Australian cricket fans they're lying if they say otherwise. What makes you think they “didn’t really bother with it”?

There is no such thing as a dead rubber in test cricket either, with the way the rankings system works, and certainly not in the Ashes.

I mean, whatever agenda you have to try and discredit the England team's performance, it was a 2-2 draw and that’s a fact. It simply doesn’t “ignore” anything.

I'm enjoying KP. Think he said the field is as if both batters are over a century, no attempt to stop the singles and allowing the run rate to chug along without as much pressure to risk hitting boundaries.
