Anyone able to bring on the optimism

Atypical I don't think this was a cry for help. I suspect it's just another, moan fest so you might be wasting your time.

We are not good enough to be top 6 despite, well being top 6. We have one of the best squads in the division and should be challenging for autos, despite there being no evidence for our squad being top 2 other than fools making it up for something to moan about.

Give it a wide birth mate.
This is a great big RARA joke x2 posts right ?

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Let’s remove reality and run the stats again; wow!
New levels of delusion whilst you pander to the jokers post by asking him to give yourself a wide berth mate because the ‘peasants’ don’t understand.
What a new level of patronising behaviour towards what is going on right in front of us.

People are paying their hard earned money to watch this home form and entitled to their views - why don’t you spend your time more usefully debating with people instead of your attempts at bullying the agendas towards your own reality.

There’s always a gap a the top that gets cut near the end of the season . We’re retaining our best players and Forss a double figure goal scorer will be added to the first team . There’s every Possibility we can gain consistency when it really matters . Keeping what we have in January could make it our best January

Law McCabe - Hackney 2.0
Micah Hamilton - McGree 2.0
Marcus Forss - looks up to speed
Sonny Finch - Marcus Forss 2.0

Dael Fry - back in the mix
RVDB - back in the mix
Tommy Conway - back soon
Aiden Morris - back soon

Darragh Lenihan - on his way back
Luke Ayling - on his way back
Jonny Howson - on his way back

Dan Barlaser - is not that bad
Delano Burgzorg - is really good
Alex Gilbert - is coming into his own

Ben Doak - look like he’s staying
Seny Dieng - coming back from injury
Isaiah Jones - good move for all
Emanuel Latte Lath - will attract ££m

Carrick is the right man for the job..Woodgate doesn’t get the credit he deserves and Kiran Scott is working on it..

UTB!

Is it really that unrealistic to suggest we maintain our league position till May,get through a 2 legged play off and then finally win a game at Wembley?

We beat Pompey next week comfortably and then forget the 1-0 defeat in a meaningless competition
How is it meaningless? I cannot get my head around so many posters expressing some sort of weird pleasure that we’ve lost a game and gone out of a competition. I mean, was the FA Cup ‘meaningless’ when we knocked out Man United and Tottenham a couple of years ago? Or when we won at City under Aitor?

The cup competitions are one of our club’s biggest sources of joy, pleasure, excitement. We are a cup team and we should not be allowing more games to just slip by with a whimper. Some of the most memorable moments of my time supporting us were in the cups. Look back to all the best Boro managers and their tenures are as memorable for great cup matches as they are anything else.

If the manager and any of the players aren’t unhappy they lost yesterday and went out of the cup at the first hurdle then I would want them moved on tbh.

I find cups a negative nowadays - our season depends on how we do in the Championship league. In 2004 it was different because we had funds to compete in cups and the league and had some chance of success in a Cup.

I know a number of people disagree with me but I felt we lost some league points in December , January and February of last season, because of the cups.

We will sell ELL for £20m combined with the Jones money we will then spend £15m of it on 3 new players, all 3 are Kieran Scott magic buys like ELL, Rogers and RVDB. They settle in straight away and we finish 4th.

We knock out Sunderland in the semis and beat Sheffield Utd in the final at Wembley. Warnock is on punditry and says he is pleased as punch as Wilder is a bell end.

We sell Jones who we got for free , for up to £5m
Then sell LL who we got for £4.5m for £20m going up to £24.5m
We then do a few more deals with Dieng / Clarke / Engel going out and fans start to fret .
BUT then
We bring in
TRavers GK
A new CH
A new LB
A new DM
A new RW LW 10
A top CF
We have upgraded and banked £15m +
Romp to 2nd in the table and achieve promotion .
If Carlsberg did transfer windows 👍

Early January always has grabbed me by the emotional collar and left me feeling flat like a lot of people in general
Football often is a ray of sunshine with intermittent typhoons
Today's result and recent results have left me feeling unusually pessimistic about the season
I know we are 6th
Despite the run of strange results
But the place feels flat and the Riverside reflects it
The crowd aren't bring inspired to engage, come on lads show some passion some bite some backbone and spirit
Nobody getting in the box today at all hardly was embarrassing
Can anyone find a positive paragraph please to help lift the mood
We're 5th and we're getting promoted at Wembley

We need to put our injuries behind us and we need to invest the money we get in to leave the window stronger than we were.

Thinking of the Archer & Ramsey window.. that was like lighting the touch paper to an absolute rocket!

The Karanka promotion season.. where we poured gallons of fuel on top of an already steady fire!

latte and Jones out with Brynn injured..

I could see Travers and Cannon coming in.. maybe Barry too.

Would that cut the mustard?

Travers/Dieng

Dijksteel/Ayling
RVDB/Fry
Edmunson/Clarke
Engel/Borges

Morris/Barlaser
Hackney/Howson

Doak/Forss
Azaz/Gilbert
Barry/Burgzorg

Cannon/Conway

McGree & Lenihan coming back
Finch and McCabe in the mix

on its day.. fully fit that squad does the business against the best in the league imo

massive question marks over fitness imo.. I’d want the squad absolutely water tight.

Consistency, Sustainability and all that jazz would have me believe we have three loans coming in.. as above.

I must say having watched a fantastic 3rd round tie between arsenal and man utd it made me feel slightly empty that we went out in a whimpering fashion
It's pretty shameful that we look so spineless
We need some men amongst boys we really do
Roll on Portsmouth and some decent players returning
Thanks for the contributions ladies and gents

The team looks knackered to me, we need some fresh, new faces in to give us a spark.

Christmas period has been tough, it’s not going to get much easier.
