I find it really odd that people persist in claiming they see some talent there when he hasn't shown an ounce of ability during his time here. Number 10? Are you kidding?
I agree, I've seen some decent stuff from him, but its not been often enough, nor has he scored enough goals, but then those criticisms can be equally levelled at any of our forwards really.I've said it before, there is a player in there, but he needs coaching well. He's clearly a confidence player, and it's been pretty low and it seems he has been having troubles in his personal life which might have impacted his game. But he's hard working and that's half the battle, he isn't a get across the front type of forward, I think he likes through balls, but we don't really have players who are doing that regularly.
He’s got talent, I don’t see a disciplinary shortcoming or a bad attitude. His relationship seems to have caused him a bit of bother.. but whose hasn’t!No, he doesn't. He just needs to go back to Brighton, and foist his cosmic lack of talent, lack of football intelligence, disciplinary shortcomings, bad attitude, off field shenanigins and reluctance to learn back on them.
MFC isn't a home for disadvantaged footballers and psychological basket cases. If you play for the team you need to give everything, learn from your mistakes, and take advice.
I’ve seen talent there.. I’m not blinded by Brighton tweets of daily mail stories about his ex missus. He has pace, ability, he can run past players perhaps not a full true number 10 in the attacking midfield sense.. better and more technically described as a ‘buzzer’I find it really odd that people persist in claiming they see some talent there when he hasn't shown an ounce of ability during his time here. Number 10? Are you kidding?
What issues has he had with discipline or a bad attitude at Boro? Also yet to see a game where he didn’t give 100%No, he doesn't. That is a very low bar to set for a professional footballer. What issues has he had with discipline or a bad attitude at Boro? Also yet to see a game where he didn’t give 100%
Look at the Chelsea game again if you think he gives 100%.What issues has he had with discipline or a bad attitude at Boro? Also yet to see a game where he didn’t give 100%
Such a shame that some of our fans have decided they didn’t like him the second he signed and have taken to making things up as an excuse to slate him
Says it all that Sporar barely had a mention this week despite putting in one of the worst performances of the season on Saturday
That is a very low bar to set for a professional footballer.
I bear him no ill will & hope in the run in he comes good & proves everyone wrong but I've seen nothing in the games he's played so far that suggests that will happen.
I didn't mention his discipline in the three months he's been at Boro, but it ended previous loans at Luton and Stoke.
Yes we have had strikers in the past that haven't met that low bar, that doesn't mean ones that barely the exceed it are the answer to our prayers.you say that, but how many strikers have we had who quite definitely haven't given 100% every time?
He’s 22!! I’m sticking with him. You see any boro players running rings around Chelsea?Look at the Chelsea game again if you think he gives 100%.

Why go with someone who has question marks about so many facets of his life when there are so many others with good or excellent characters?
Most people who have watched him in the last three months haven't seen anything to suggest he'll amount to anything.
If he'd turned in a few good performances then I'd say there's maybe a decision to be taken. But he's done nothing on the field, and the off field history is just confirmation we don't need the problem.
I don't rate him as many will realise, but its a good message he sent and I believe he means it.
He could do with losing weight tbh.
I havent the foggiest clue what you are talking about?I don't rate him as many will realise, but its a good message he sent and I believe he means it.
I'm surprised anyone can see anything remotely negative in this message and feel the need to stick the boot into him.
He will play at Swansea and I hope he plays well and scores a brace.
It's one thing criticising his play, or goal record here, but when you are piling on to the message in the OP I think it is totally unfair.
Genuine question for those who see a player in him. What exactly are his qualities that you see that make you think he could be a successful forward even at championship level?
Pace? Strength? Movement? Technique? Touch? Finishing? Finding space? Anticipation? Passing? Work rate? ect ect.
How would you rate him on a scale of 10 on those attributes?
I'm not trying to be argumentative. Im genuinely interested so I can look out for it myself next time I watch him play.
I like 4-2-3-1 but you need certain strengths in your players to play it. You have to have a bit of pace at CB, because you don't have the cover behind like with 3 CBs, you couldn't play Hall and McNair as above.I agree, much prefer this formation.
It can be both a possession and an attacking system with the two holding midfielders allowing the full backs to overlap etc.
