All of those players weren't alive when they lost that war. How does that really affect them? It's like the Irish kids spouting their hate for the English. I could understand those that lived through the Troubles, but how were the kids affected?

Yeah, some of the stuff I read on Twitter after France knocked us out was pathetic. All of those players weren't alive when they lost that war. How does that really affect them? I'm also pretty sure that the song of "Two World wars and one world cup" wasn't exclusively sang by over 70s for the last decade or so, with the over 50s allowed to join in on the last line for reasons of accuracy either. All of those players weren't alive when they lost that war. Might be just me but I absolutely love the sh1thousery. Anything you can do to get a psychological edge is far game (or to chip away at your opponent's perceived edge).I don't mind Argentina.
I thought their antics against Netherlands were poor, but Netherlands brought it on themselves, starting with their manager, LVG, with his pre match comments during his press conferences.
And, the way they treated Martinez when walking up to take the decisive and final spot kick to win the tie was a disgrace, so (although their actions when they won were poor) I don't blame the players for acting like they did in the heat of that humongous moment.
I don't really care who wins, but it would be nice for Messi to see him clinch the crown jewel that's escaped his claws for so long.
It's the only trophy that has eluded him, and he's pretty much done everything he can to win it so far.
Would be fitting for his last ever action of his final World Cup appearance, to be lifting the trophy.
You’re not wrong. I’ve had too many Tommy tanks over it already
