Forest offer £10m for Tav

In all honesty can any fan of this club be happy right now-- deffo no from me and the rest of the ghost readers. What is happening right now is more of a sellout by the club. They-- Bausor et al took £12m for Spence? It's a damn joke and I'm seething about why and who's making the calls at this club tight now?-- it's ridiculous what is going on.

12.5 upfront for Spence appears to of been the best we could get, you can only sell for what someone’s prepared to pay. Seemed plenty of interest but no one else was prepared to offer anything. It may be because his agent had said spurs was preferred it may not, we will likely never know. Maybe the other clubs under further investigation realised he has very little end product which is why for an attacking wingback he only managed 4 assists in a promotion winning team. Interested teams will all be aware of the allgeded issues around attitude, he was let go by Fulham and called out by woodgate and Warnock and repeatedly by fans on here. The other clubs may think he’s over priced and we’ve pulled spurs pants down, reality is we won’t know until he starts playing for them who got the better end of the deal.

If we sell him too we’ll have 13 first team players left.

Can we drag this out with need to sell to buy line?

So unprepared for this apparent promotion charge it’s laughable. No rose tinted fan can say otherwise. Get real.

I think you need a reality check . We’ve sorted the wide positions out for the first time in years . Our keeper role is filled , mcgree will play more of a key role than last season and chip in with decent amount of goals like crooks did last season . Muniz could be here next week , we’re not a million miles away from a decent squad. We now have a wind fall we never even planned for prior even bringing wilder in .
The decks have been cleared of high earners for a new manager to make the squad his own . Tav won’t be bagging anyones door down demanding a move .

GKs sorted... really a loaner GK is what you call sorted? The club is going down the wrong path with loaner this and that. The GK imo is probably the most important player in the team but here we are taking a stiff from Citeh-- totally stupid.
There's Roberts as well. Regardless of thoughts on the pros and cons of loanees, for the upcoming season in the GK position we've got a good starter, good cover and no need to be trying to bring anyone else in. That's all I was saying.

Key point here is if player is unhappy and wants to leave then he's gone.
A massive part of our team,I would replace him with Callum o Hare and Jason Knight from Derby.
We bought two left-sided midfielders in January. They will be his replacements if he leaves. The money would need to go towards other positions. Boyd-Munce is the same age as Tav so if he's not ready now then I don't know when he will be.

If we only have 13 players for the 25 man squad then we will have to sell someone again. There is no way we get 10 - 12 players from the Spence money alone. And if we are targetting quality the wage bill has to be factored in also.

It’s not looking great atm, particularly on the striker front. We were limited with the Spence deal as he only wanted to go to Spurs and it seems his agent made it clear to all concerned if they were the only ones who bid for him. In the circumstances 12.5M plus add ons isn’t too bad. I bet they initially offered about 7.5/8.
With Tav, his greatest asset is his energy and sometimes his final ball. However he’s never really kicked on in terms of goal scoring (as others have mentioned). He should easily be getting 10 goals a season in the championship.
15M plus and I would sell. However big question is who would replace him and provide the energy and more importantly goals.
We still need loads more goals from this team to have any kind of success next season.

This is the result of years of poor recruitment. The money we had we’ve wasted and allowed it to walk away without a fee in return. Payero the latest, shipped out on loan, no fee, eventually get a fraction of what we paid 12 months ago. We do this a lot. Relying on loans, it’s like renting a house, you’re paying someone else’s mortgage. Short time thinking. Wilder won’t be here long.

We have just got 12 - 20m for Spence who cost us nothing, so it cuts both ways. Forest got up with half a team of loan players so its food for thought.

We all like tav, but being honest he’s a bit……we’ll bit of a same old same old , the lad hasn’t moved on from what he’s always been really .
should be scoring and creating more .
next season and he’ll be just the same and so on …
guess I’d be happy to see him stay, or wish him the best if he leaves.
£15m is a fair price
of course he has, statistically it was his best season last year. He created loads, in the top ten in the championship, not his fault they were not put away. Yes we can argue he should score more, but he has a goal every 5 starts for us, which is great. A bit of consistency over a season and he could get 8-10

Tav deserves to be playing in the PL. In all probability Forest will be relegated in May. Obviously a nice pay day for Marcus (and his agent no doubt) but I think he can do better. I hope he stays, we don't need the money after we off loaded Djed so unless he starts agitating for a move then a polite refusal should sort it.

Tav has played a lot of matches, he is not really improving and is always touted as having massive potential and is misunderstood.
I don't misunderstand him at all. He is excellent out of possession, but disappointing in possession.
We would definitely miss him if he left because nobody else covers the ground or players that he does. Not to admit that is ridiculous. And that has a price. I would accept £15m for him in today's market as a Championship club. I think he could be replaced by somebody who may offer more with the ball. O'Hare at Cov for example.
Sadly I'm pretty sure that McGree is some way off being that replacement. Boyd Munce I have no idea.

I am however getting increasingly concerned at the delay in signing players and Middlesbrough FC sadly have previous for this.
The Braga demolition, size and quality of the squad, the shocking state of the forward line, the inability to complete deals are all worrying; so the prospect of selling Tav - even for a very fair £15m - at this point looks unappealing to me. I simply haven't much confidence they will bring players of quality in.
Just what has Kieran Scott been doing?

Sheffield Utd? Could lightning strike twice and they have another brilliant premier League season? Doubtful.
It's a bit more than doubtful. The odds are definitely stacked heavily against them.
Top 6 in the Championship? Now that's a different story.

A new contract for him would fend off any more offers. If he doesn’t want to sign it then he will either run down his contract or leave in January or next summer for a knock down price.
