Forest offer £10m for Tav

A lot depends on how crucial Wilder sees him being and how easy we think it'll be to replace him. But I'd be surprised if he wasn't everything Wilder loves in a midfielder.

It'd probably be £8-10m to sign someone pretty much guaranteed to replace the work Tav does. That doesn't take into account Tav's potential to improve or the fact he's young and English.

You've then got to correctly identify such a player, agree a fair price and convince them to sign for us. Money in the bank isn't going to win us promotion. I just don't see what's in it for us unless the offer is a very generous one, literally one too good to turn down.

I’ve heard B’muff have come back in.

Also heard Davies from Liverpool (ex PNE)
Mooy
Muniz
And Forrs from Brentford.

Quite possibly all horse Schmitt

I cant believe that some people still don't see what Tav offers and contributes to the team. He's the epitome of a modern midfielder; dynamic, athletic and without any obvious gaps in his game. He's still learning too, so will only improve.

If he goes (and if he does it will be down to him, rather than the club wanting to cash in) then £10m is way short IMO.

Exactly, we are already well short of players and struggling to attract them.

the chew on attempting to replace tav must mean his value to us is probably 20mill at least.

Not that he's a 20mill player right now but that's just his value to us, to make us think about selling.

Plus tav is not an immature waster like Spence so is unlikely to moan and cry if we don't agree to sell him, meaning we should get a higher price if we choose to sell.

Boro fans are mad. Shall we just keep selling players because the money seems good. Well have millions in the bank but hardly able to field 11 players.

Do we want to get promoted or just be cash rich. When did fans care more about the money than having a successful team.

I don’t get it either

As you’d think it was their money.

we didnt want spence and we had a better player in that position. tav we want to keep, he wants to stay and we dont have any ready made replacement. 30m and they can have him. only silly money will see him leave.

We need to keep him imo and Hel be even more important in a years time . Hel cost more to replace him over time , he’s not the type to cause a problem and want to be in the prem with us .😎👍

I would be disappointed to lose him this summer. Must keep for me unless something silly is offered and by that I’m thinking close to 20 million. 15 mil nah not for me he’s too important to us.

For whatever my opinions worth I think he will stay.

I really like Tav, I have a nasty feeling he'll be off if anyone offers £15-20 million.
At least we have Riley Mcgree I suppose, You'd have to imagine we'd need to look at 3 midfielders if Tav left, Competition at CDM, RCM and LCM

I like McGree but he’s not in same league as Tav in terms of what Tav brings to the team. It would be a big drop in quality in my eyes. Hopefully doesn’t happen.

With 2 years left on his contract they are about £5m short I reckon
Agreed.

£15 mill and leave the decision up to Tav. Forest must be the early favourites to finish bottom, wether that's fair or not is for another discussion, but I don't see where they've got the quality to get the amount of points needed for survival.
Leeds will be ok after the signings they've made, Southampton will improve on last season, I like their work ethic and the way they play the game. Newcastle will be nowhere near the relegation zone this coming season, Europe must be the target for them. Fulham? All depends on whether Mitrovich can turn his championship goal return into a premier league goal return. Everton might well struggle again, especially now they've lost Richarlson and rumors of Calvert Lewin leaving for a trophy hunting team. Sheffield Utd? Could lightning strike twice and they have another brilliant premier League season? Doubtful.

So Tav needs to weigh up a potential one season in the window playing premier league football or stick around and help drag us into the mix for promotion.

I very much doubt these bids are real, probably just lazy journalists. But if they are, 10m for a player that’s not as much an asset as Spence is. Doubtful. We wouldn’t turn that money down, we’ve spent a month haggling for 12m!

I like tav overall......he's got talent....but....he's been a slow burner....really slow....he has been frustrating overall when you look back at his time....last season was clearly his best season by a long way...but before that I would have been happy to Try another route
I don't know whether we should preserve him or let him go....10 million seems light ish....
I completely disagree and think he would be a good replacement for Jordan Henderson in 2 years. I think on potential 10 mill is 10 mill short. His attitude is first class and is hungry to get better unlike another player we have just sold.
