Sam Morsy to Ipswich?

I’d get shot of him — he doesn’t read the game, his tackling — which is the most important feature of any DM is really poor and he lacks any pace. He’s a red card waiting to happen but if don’t get a replacement then we probably have to make do— maybe he gets better lol 😆

How do we reckon this has come about then? Warnock told him he’s not wanted or has Morsy asked to go?
If there's any truth in it.. it might just be purely financial. Say we picked him up for a song and his old manager has money to spend on a sure fire solid 100% guy like Morsy.. then maybe we have to take the money? I love Morsy and think he's an absolute diamond to have in the team. But if at the end of the day he's gonna pay for a large chunk of our transfer dealings and we get promoted as a result of the improvements we can make..

3 LM Jake Bidwell £400k
5 LW Jamie McGrath £600k
8 MF James Léa Siliki - Loan
11 RW Oliver Burke - Loan
13 ST Toyosi Olusanya - Free
19 ST Andraž Šporar - Loan
23 RW Onel Hernández - Loan
26 CD Kean Bryan - Free
30 LB Joe Bennett - Free
45 ST Ademipo Odubeko - Loan

It all has to come from somewhere! No matter how much folks like to drop £8m here £9m there like it's champ manager, we'll be making money from this transfer window imo. Massive wages gone from the players that have left.. but also massive fees that haven't been recouped. George Saville went for a fee, players going out on loan that don't return will go for a fee.. looks very likely that Djed Spence will go for a fee. At the end of the day, it all has to stack up!

Transfer window closes the day after tomorrow. Sell him and youd have to panic buy a replacement and that can only be a bad thing.

No thanks. Absolutely keep

I know who you were replying to thanks. My question to you still remains:
When has Morsy spent too many games sat on the sidelines as a result of smashing someone?
The next few games I would imagine, and if he doesn’t control himself a few more after that.

An honest pro, yes, but I can't see a team winning promotion from the Championship that has Morsy as a regular starter. The holding role is perhaps the most important in any team, but you need to be quick to circulate the ball and also be able to see a pass yourself. Morsy always seems to kill the momentum.

I wouldn't want to see him go. Granted, he is limited with the ball but you do need a player like Morsy in the champo. I also think he will get better this season. We haven't seen the best of him yet. Maybe hes not needed every game but he can be used as a sub to break play up and do the dirty work. In the past we've been physically weak and out muscled by some teams. Morsy let's players know he's there and adds some of physicality to the midfield. Keep for me.

Really surprised he's willing to drop down to league 1 too.

Could you see him in Fulham WBA or Bournemouth midfield??
No - and we are trying to compete with these teams
Nope but if we were leading 1-0 at Fulham with 20 to go would introducing Morsy help solidify us and make it hard for Fulham? I think so.

We shouldn't just be signing or keeping players just because they aren't to Fulham's or other teams standards imho.

No jj
He gives the ball away and was subbed against Fulham I think
