Sam Morsy to Ipswich?

Morsy probably is going to be a really good championship player but like any job you only get 6 months to show your worth and unfortunately he just didn't show up in the previous 6 months. Actually, I thought that he did rather well against Rovers at the weekend but the red card maybe sealed his fate-- too bad. Call it bad karma.

Very surprised and disappointed by this news, Morsy is a proper top Championship pro who I think we will regret moving on. We are taking a massive risk that this new guy is up to the job as his replacement. Not feeling confident for our promotion chances at the moment unless we have another good midfield signing to come in.
RyanYates or Josh Laurent would be nice, but would be happy with McGrath .
( edit as it put without ! I am 100% with McGrath ! ) hope it happens.

He will leave with my well wishes. Solid enough pro, but lacking a little quality, and a little too often we wondered if he was going to see out the 90mins or be smelling of radox after one late tackle too many.

It's one of those rare mutually beneficial moments with no ill will on either side. I'm sure he enjoyed some moments here, playing at comfortably the biggest club in his career, but it was probably a little beyond his ability to play to our expected levels.

He might have had to go to pay for JLS who'll be on good wages.

Prefer to keep him as a squad player as a fourth senior player midfield option but so be it.

Another striking option was also key so good to get that done.

A few kids out on loan so the squad looks solid with options on the bench. Maybe another late addition with a winger coming in if poss.

Everything is rosy in the garden, it just needs to flower. Stop messing with the formation and the personnel. We all know who does what best where and let them gel.....

Wow. That’s rich

I think his moving on is a loss. We simply don’t have too many options to play that role (unless Siliki can do it.)
Sometimes you need that guy who charges around riling the opposition and lighting little fires all over the pitch, as well as doing the donkey work of chasing.
I wish him well if he’s going

The only way this is acceptable to me is if McGrath arrives

Lumley Daniels
Dijksteel Peltier Spence
Fry Hall McNair Bamba
Bola

Howson Siliki
Tav Crooks Payero
Hernandez Jones Watmore Olisanya

Ikpeazu Sporar Coburn

Ameobi, Browne and Fisher to return

That's a squad of 25 when all fit

As good as our buisness has been, I think we're still lacking a left back, center back and a third choice striker
Then we'll look stacked
Also quite want McGrath to come in 😂 am I just being greedy?!

We would be poorer for his going. For me he’s a decent championship holding mid and don’t understand the negativity.
Generally very good on defence, but not so good on offence. His rumoured player leadership role on anti-vaxing (if that was indeed the case) wouldn’t have helped his cause.
