I’ve not yet heard a coherent argument. Am I missing something?
I’m asking a serious question. No fun-making. I just don’t understandYou need to ask someone who didn't want the vaccination but you might want to ask it without making fun of them if you want a serious answer.
Yup I suspect you are. Saying you haven't heard a single coherent argument it's kinda confrontational and people won't want to engage, I suspect.I’m asking a serious question. No fun-making. I just don’t understand
Ok, so I change my op to say, “I haven’t yet decided” or, “I’m looking for advice”. Doesn’t that sound sarcastic or just a bit stupid?Yup I suspect you are. Saying you haven't heard a single coherent argument it's kinda confrontational and people won't want to engage, I suspect.
Well that's a load of old nonsenseand it’s these people who keep pushing back our ability to remove restrictions or travel abroad
And that, I understand, is a valid consideration. Thank youBecause, over a longer period of time, it could emerge that certain risks may have been present in taking it, that no one is aware of just yet, as is the case with all “new things”. And some people may feel hesitant about that.
But that may mean some form of restrictions for these people, if COVID passports become required for more and more things. And that, I understand, is a valid consideration. Thank you
I was basing that on the fact that Most of the people currently in hospital with Covd-19 have not had a vaccine (according to a number of articles) and in terms of the delta , more than half of those who have died with it, have not had a Covid vaccine at all.Well that's a load of old nonsense
Indeed, and so they would need to weigh that in to their decision. I grew up with friends who suffered the injuries from thalidomide, but also worked in the medical device industry which is now regulated so tightly these catastrophic errors are nigh on impossible. But that may mean some form of restrictions for these people, if COVID passports become required for more and more things.
This and personal choice for some people who think the risk is so small.Because, over a longer period of time, it could emerge that certain risks may have been present in taking it, that no one is aware of just yet, as is the case with all “new things”. And some people may feel hesitant about that.
Agreed but can genuinely see why people wouldn't trust this lot to run a bath. I'm not aiming to be political, but this government have handled this pandemic terribly. Their mismanagement has cost lives.Indeed, and so they would need to weigh that in to their decision. My argument is more that we, as a race, have come up against a foe so able to destroy us, we must take a leap of faith, trust the scientists, trust the healthcare givers and do the right thing
How many of those couldn't be vaccinated due to medical conditions?I was basing that on the fact that Most of the people currently in hospital with Covd-19 have not had a vaccine (according to a number of articles) and in terms of the delta , more than half of those who have died with it, have not had a Covid vaccine at all.
Given most of the deaths according to the nhs web site are 60+ and all have been offered a vaccine a long time ago I can only assume that those that have not taken up the offer are getting ill, dying and are now a statistic .
these statistics are what is not allowing us to emerge
