Like Kent?Same will happen to the other places that variants are named after.

You can’t have zero Covid which to me you seem to be implying.Of course it works to an extent, but we don’t know to what extent it works against different variants, or the level of protection it offers to those who are ill or with compromised immune systems. Signs are good so far but it’s never going to completely fix the problem
So no Indian or Chinese takeaways?Same will happen to the other places that variants are named after.
Dover Sole cheap as chips.Like Kent?
We can't call it the Chinese virus remember. ST will have a **** fit although he has no qualms about calling variants Indian or whatever. So no Indian or Chinese takeaways?
Strange that they've been going through such a boom for the last 18 months round here.
And the nail bar round the corner was open when I passed earlier.
That’s what I mean, we are still going to have deaths despite the vaccines. It’s not just a yes or no answer on if they work or not. So many variables to consider. Signs so far seem promising but it’s also fairly likely a variant will bypass the current vaccines at some pointYou can’t have zero Covid which to me you seem to be implying.
every variant the vaccine has currently shown protection
Completely? From everything I read it suggests that the vaccine will, at worst, heavily reduce the symptoms at least. That’s what I mean, we are still going to have deaths despite the vaccines. It’s just another flu once a vaccine is established isn’t it.That’s what I mean, we are still going to have deaths despite the vaccines. It’s not just a yes or no answer on if they work or not. So many variables to consider. Signs so far seem promising but it’s also fairly likely a variant will bypass the current vaccines at some point
No it won't. You can't be this naive. Hate crime against Chinese has risen dramatically. All because Trump fuelled the idea that it was China's fault. It is really shameful that you are fanning that hatred.Same will happen to the other places that variants are named after.
This is fairly likely is it jm? How likely and where are you getting evidence for this? That’s what I mean, we are still going to have deaths despite the vaccines. 100%. Anything that plants a seed of doubt that will generate clicks. They really don’t care whether it causes mass panic or irrational overreactions. They’d be happy for us all to sit at home forever glued to their websites as they watch our money come rolling in.
He's right you know. A Boro fan aswell apparently.
We are stopping flights from India.......a week on Thursday.
It's that sort of thing I can't understand, they reckon some flights from India had up to 60 people per flight infected and yet we waited a week after deciding to ban flights
This is fairly likely is it jm? How likely and where are you getting evidence for this?
You can remain afraid for the rest of your life or live your life.
I am not pretending everything is fine. I trust the science of vaccinations, its worked for decades and will continue to work. With covid still being widespread around the world, the chances will increase of other variants being created we dont yet know about, which may also be resistant to a vaccine.
At what stage have I said im afraid? If you want to just pretend everything is fine and this will all just magically go away thats absolutely fine. But dont just dismiss anyone being realistic of just being scared to carry on with life.
Actually the fairly likely comment isn't someone being frightened at all. Everything we know about viruses suggests this will be the caseI am not pretending everything is fine. I trust the science of vaccinations, its worked for decades and will continue to work.
You may not be afraid, but you say "It's fairly likely we will see a variant that will bypass the vaccine". Sounds frightened to me, not withstanding the fact that it's nonsense. How many strains of flu bypass vaccinations?
Flu vaccinations are re-engineered every 2 years. Is there any scientific reason why we can't do the same with a covid vaccination?
As I said, live in fear or live your life, that's your choice.
