I have BT, but like you i don't care about watching the CL. Never bother with it.I agree, this week I haven’t watched City v Dortmund or Chelsea v whoever it was, as I don’t have BT. Don’t care.
watched the Boro and we were wretched. But I’ll watch us next week and can’t wait to go back to the Riverside. I don’t see it as being the death of Football
To be fair, and with all due respect, they’re not bothered about “you” - it’s the plastic scousers, mancs, barca, Madrid etc fans in China and Thailand and Singapore etc that they’re bothered aboutLeicester have won more league titles in the last decade and play far nicer looking football than Spurs and Arsenal. The most entertaining games featuring Liverpool this season have with them losing to the teams they now want to escape.
There is only Man City who seem to attempt to outplay and heavily outscore those other 'big teams' on a regular basis this season.
Based on the boredom factor of watching these teams (Spurs, Arsenal and United games this weekend!) I know that there is no way I'd be buying into that TV package.
Got the Champions League via BT (a British monopoly Company sold off by Maggie) a few months ago as Virgin were giving it away in order to keep me as a customer. Think that tells a story of how popular the channel is. Have watched a few games. Most have been boring, especially the first legs of ties. Have been watching the Championship games instead, if they are on the other side.I agree, this week I haven’t watched City v Dortmund or Chelsea v whoever it was, as I don’t have BT. Don’t care.

I would take that a step further and prevent them from receiving any prize money from the Premier League this year. Why should the PL fund them to leave. What the FA should do now is with immediate effect ban Southgate from selecting any players at any team that has signed up to this deal same in Italy and Spain. FIFA should ban them from playing international football.
Correct and I know a couple of lifelong city fan from Manchester who are absolutely furious about this. Feel like their club is being taken from them.To be fair, and with all due respect, they’re not bothered about “you” - it’s the plastic scousers, mancs, barca, Madrid etc fans in China and Thailand and Singapore etc that they’re bothered about
The whole thing stinks
I think they will. Playing contracts are specific to the signing club and are lodged with national FAs and UEFA. Any attempt to breach those contracts would have huge financial penalties for the offending club.I think it is just a publicity stunt. But if they do break away and get banned from FIFA, they do not need to respect players contracts and can poach whoever they want.
they are shafting the actual local fans. They would be shafting their own fans
I'm sorry but this is not Sky, before Sky English football was on the bones of its preverbials. As much as we look back with rose tinted glasses, no live games before Christmas was rubbish, the same teams being on TV week in week out was rubbish, the toilets for women in the Holgate were rubbish. Sky, to coin a phrase brought a whole new game to football. Yes it's gone to far now but let's not pretend football as a entity was better before Sky.Sky are to blame for this. They started the ball rolling and ruined the game 30 years ago.
Surely that would be exactly the same as these teams are doing and would kill off the Scottish game.Would it be the time to get the two Glasgow clubs in England?
What, and give up the chance to make your shareholders millionaires over night.TV companies should announce they won't show the games.
