European Super League to be announced tonight - 9:30pm

This was inevitable right from the start of the Premier League.
Those with the money do what they like.
Good luck to them.

Sod off to your Super League and the rest of us will take our football back. (y)

Sky will be torn and the Premiership will have its financial head torn off - because the "big" clubs they grandstand as their "flagship" will be out of it, doing what they want.

Sky wont chuck the same money at Burnley V Southampton or Everton V Norwich. Not many Burnley shirts sold in Singapore or Adelaide!!

Ha!
Im laughing my bluddy socks off.:love::love::love::love::love::love::love:

The top level of English football sold its soul years ago - this is simply an inevitable extension of it. The powers behind this aren't bothered about the English football fan - they go where the money or the dollar is. The motivation behind this is the massive interest in Asia, Oceania, USA and the Middle East. They will lap it up.

Hopefully they'll be gone & I would like to see a new Championship, league 1, 2 & 3 to restructure

Yes they'll always be a club, or clubs, the sponsor will pick up as the new darlings to plough money into but fingers crossed not as obscene as it at present

Though it'll never happen
Never say never mate.
They can pizz off to their money tree in the sky.
Good riddance!

I notice Barcelona are amongst the 12 - aren't they majority fan owned?
Fair point. I do notice PSG have also rejected joining. Bayern and PSG are power houses financially so I wonder if it isn't just "fan power" behind their decision to stand back?

I went to just one Boro European Home game in the those two glorious years. I went to every away game in those two years. For me Europe was all about travelling to the other countries.

I don't know about the intricacies of how the clubs work, but Barcelona and Real Madrid already get a disproportionate amount of the TV money in Spain, so if the fans do have a major say then they're clearly not that honourable.
