European Super League to be announced tonight - 9:30pm

Given the number of complaints about too many games as it is, the playing of U23's in the domestic cups etc, I wonder how the managers of the clubs involved will be asked to square that particular circle by their owners?
Seems like this is just part of a plan to take a bigger wedge of the existing pie to me, but I sincerely hope it backfires on them big time.

Do a Rangers to them and relegate them to the bottom tier en masse and see how long it takes them to get back to the Premier League .
Why even afford them that? Just expel them from every competition with immediate effect, deny them any monies (prize, TV rights) owed and make ineligible any player registered with them from participating in international competitions administered by UEFA.

And the those by FIFA (World Cup)

Had a browse around a few clubs fans forums. It looks like the fans of some of these big clubs are absolutely against this and disgusted at as the rest of us, mainly Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs fans. Man City fans are 50-50 because they hate UEFA for the FFP thing, looks like the older wiser fans that went to Maine Road would walk away, Man U fans seem 50-50 but I think that their boards have a lot of foreign 'fans'.

I really don't understand why so many are surprised and outraged by this.
Yes it's an insult to the game.
Yes It's profit before people.
But football has been happy to take money from big corporate business for a long time.
Do you really think that these big money machines were going to continue ploughing more and more into the game without expecting something back?
They want a guaranteed return on their investment.
They have never claimed to love the game.
They love money and have never made any secret of it.
Rumour has it that Steve Gibson refused to follow suit and sell our club on.
If so this situation shows that we haven't had enough people like him in the game.
If football didn't want this it should not have allowed itself to become more of a business than a sport.
We sold the crown jewels so they don't belong to us anymore.
This is the day football pays the price for its own greed.
