Digital season card passes at the riverside stadium

Supporters meeting is on Monday - obviously Digital Ticketing will be top of the
I really hope that the club takes on board that a lot of the fans do not want digital tickets, elderly, children, ambulant adults.

Already seems a white wash that it is coming in despite the protests. First brush club don’t seem that bothered people will not renew if this is forced on them and will just force it on people.

I am still livid about this.

I must say I found the staff at the ticket office rude and dismissive when I said it is a terrible idea. Robot answer of it was brought into help people. Could be further from the truth and the photos of the queues making people 20mins for the game were just dismissed.

Simple solution let those who want one to have one and those who don’t to have a digital card.

Also for this to be introduced 8 days before the start of the season, is dreadful and litigious. Mfc have changed the terms of a service.

I expect another dogs dinner on Saturday.

Also why on earth was the kick off not delayed against Millwall the ground was half full at 1500pm.

You mean like they're doing.

No they haven't, you still get entry to the football stadium

What do you want them to say when it was likely not their decision, and you get people like yourself shouting about "changing terms of service" and the like ?

See what comes out of the meeting on Monday. So far, all the communications suggest that it will be phased until everyone is on a digital ticket. People on this on thread have alluded to this.

Implied terms of the contract have changed.

Never shouted at anyone, you are making assumptions. You don’t even know me.

Implied terms of the contract have changed.

The implied terms of the contract haven't changed, you can still access the ground to watch a football match with a valid ticket (physical or Digital as there's an option for either)

People on this on thread have alluded to this.

Good luck with that supporting your argument for a legal case. "Some blokes on FMTTM said there'll eventually phase out paper tickets completely m'lud".

Just had a message on my phone that my cards have been updated for Boro v Southampton today !? And now they are no longer in my wallet. Tried to download them again and got an error message…. Oh dear Boro

I am not down playing those that took 20 mins to get in after the kick off but if you wanted to see what a half full ground at kick off looks like then Coventry away was exactly that.

The advice says any game showing will get you in. It doesnt have to say Huddersfield. It can be Millwall still.
That is what it says.

Case is club knew digital ticketing was going to be implemented and never told season ticket holders when renewing.

Club then admits that if you don’t have the technology you have to buy separate to your ticket a smart phone at cost. Again not advertised.

Implied terms are you have a digital ticket.

Going to take my chances in the small claims contact, we request full disclosure directions, failing which I willl make an application for specific disclosure on when the digital policy was implemented.

It is going to be forced on everyone just like at Newcastle and Sunderland.

I have a bit of backbone to put up a fight. I am am it accepting this policy.

Lizard do you work for the club?

But you can have a non digital ticket, you keep ignoring that massive fact - you are NOT forced to use the digital ticket, irrespective of what they may do in future, as it stands today you can opt out and choose not to have a digital ticket.

The club doesn't "admit that if you dont have the technology you have to buy separate to your ticket a smart phone at cost" because you simply don't, you just fill in a form and get a non digital ticket.

I truly hope you get laughed out of small claims court, as all you are doing is wasting the clubs time because of things you're either inferring (a mandatory digital ticket with no option to opt out at some point in the future) or failing to understand.

Out of interest, did you kick up this much of a fuss when they moved from paper tickets to a season card
Only had a plastic season ticket, prior to this used company corporate tickets. Paper to digital never required the purchase of technology so no I wouldn’t have complained.

So lizard do you work for the club and are you called lizard as you like David Icke!

Small claims court is not cost bearing. Rather have a go and to make a point to the club.

Imagine not consulting with your biggest customer about such a big change.

Believe me digital ticketing is being forced on us. People hate it.

Why do you think I work for the club because I disagree with your inaccurate claims that it's being "forced upon us" (it isn't you can opt out, a fact you seem unwilling to understand). You're also not forced to buy any hardware, as again you can opt out. and so dont require any hardware.

You also claim "people hate it", whereas I'd say most people are indifferent apart from being frustrated about a few teething problems.

Could you point to where I've said that the small claims court is cost bearing, I merely pointed out I hope you get laughed out of it, due to your inability/ unwillingness to understand the situation.

It may also surprise you that I'm not actually called The_Lizards_Jumpers, but my username is somewhat related to the club you purport to support.

Lizard you see a good guy with good posts, take any beef back against you.

I am just so mad about this. Perhaps I don’t express myself well enough on the forum and I am better in person.

Has anyone figured out how to forward a ticket to member of your family group yet ?

Can I transfer my digital Season Card to a friend / family member?

Supporters that have a digital Season Card are able to 'forward' their ticket, should they be unable to attend a match.
The recipient must be within your 'My Friend & Family' network.
Please note: Supporters within the Family Zone cannot forward their ticket online, this must be done through the ticket office.
Follow these steps to forward your ticket online:
  1. Visit tickets.mfc.co.uk
  2. Login to your MFC Digital Account.
  3. Once logged in, you should be taken back to the ticketing website. Click on 'Hello [Forename]' in the top right to access your ticketing profile.
  4. On your ticketing profile, click on the 'Tickets' link which is located under your name and Boro Reference.
  5. You will see the games loaded to your Season Card. Tick the game you wish to forward. Please note that you will see the games for all those classed as a 'Strong Relationship' within your My Friend & Family network, so please ensure that you select the correct ticket. Each ticket will have the owner name visible after selecting.
  6. Then click 'Forward Ticket', which can be found a bit higher up.
  7. A pop-up window will appear, click 'Forward Ticket' again. On a mobile you may have to click the '+' to see the Forward Ticket link.
  8. You will then be required to select the new owner you wish to forward the ticket to, along with the price type. Please note you cannot forward to a lower priced concession.
  9. Click 'Forward Ticket' and proceed through the checkout.

See the FAQ in the link to the official club site. Whilst I look like I'm defending the club in this issue, I do however think they've made a shambles (as usual) with the roll out, and the Southampton issue mentioned above just shows how badly (live testing in a system 3 days before a game FFS) or the lack of ability to forward it (below) or the issue with it trying to charge you for transferring etc.

Can I forward my digital Season Card on to a friend or family member?

We are working to have this option back online as quickly as possible, and will update supporters when this is available again. You will be able to forward a digital Season Card to anyone within the My Friends and Family section of your ticketing account. If you are based in the Generation Red Family Zone and wish to forward a Season Card, please contact the Ticket Office directly.
