Bit of a Desperate Clickbait story this - a wind up no doubt
("Robbo" would be very welcome back at Fir Park should he choose to leave)
Goalkeeper Zach Hemming was spotted at the
Premier League Darts in
Glasgow holding up a cheeky sign calling for his St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson to be sacked.
Hemming, who is on loan from
Championship side
Middlesbrough, joined St Mirren on a temporary basis for the second time in January. The 24-year-old joined up with Robinson’s side and has come straight into the starting line-up for the
Scottish Premiership side.
The Buddies are in a worrying recent run of form, with just one win in their last six league games leaving them four points above the relegation play-off spot in 8th.
But, given how tight Scotland’s top flight is, St Mirren are only seven points off third place Dundee United. St Mirren remain firmly in contention for the top six and a return to European football if they can get back to form.
Following their Scottish Cup exit against Hearts on Monday, Hemming held up a tongue-in-cheek sign at the darts in the OVO Arena as Glasgow hosted Night 2 of the
Premier League.
Saints fans would have taken a double look at their goalkeeper being in the crowd in the first place, but his sign that read: “Robbo out!!!” topped his appearance off.
