Young lad missing in Tenerife

Not good.

Left a party to back with some people he had met. The following morning it looks like he had set off to walk back, he made a phone call that morning to one of his friends back at the hotel saying he only had 1% and needed water and didn't know where he was - then his phone died.

Not been seen since with his last known location been around some mountains with not a lot nearby.

Just seen this story and it’s really hit me as I’ve got a 15 year old lad and know that in a couple of years he’s going to want to be going on holiday with his mates.

I hope more than anything this lad is found safe, thoughts and prayers with his family.
 
I went to Magaluf with 7 other lads when we were 18 and just finished college. I was still a kid, not even close to being an adult. Was crazy when I think back.
 
I really do hope that he turns up alive

Must be frightening for him and his family and friends

Can`t imagine what must be going on in those minds, I hope the outcome is positive
 
Poor lad and his family, simply awful.

Went on lads holidays and festivals abroad every year from 17 year old up to mid 20’s. Now I have two sons myself I feel pretty bad for putting my parents through that, especially my mam.
 
Sounds like the search has moved back to the south of the island. Must have had some important information as they were in the northern part previously.
 
Hopefully they find him asap. Im currently in Tenerife now and last few days have been hot. Todays a little cloudy. If he has no water i fear it wont end well. Fingers crossed for him and his family
 
A mate of mine did that in Spain a few years ago. Got in a cab home and told the cabbie to take him to the Burger King as he could walk back to hotel from there. We were in between two towns at the time on a night out, the cabbie took him the other way to the other town and dropped him off, he then realised he was in the wrong place after the cabbie had drove off.

He was gone all night, turned up knackered, dehydrated and sunburned at about 11am the next day having walked back as he had no money left on him, and his phone had died. One of the lads there woke up after a big night out and had about 30 missed calls from him when his phone was still working, as he hadn't heard the phone as he was plastered and fast asleep.

Luckily he made it back and after a good kip and some aftersun he was ok. I hope the same for this lad in Tenerife!

Really!!?? Gobsmacked is an understatement. Id be sick if that was one of my kids, as I'm sure anyone of us would be. Can only assume it will be kids doing the calls, as any parent would understand the situation
 
Not sure if it’s true but reading online he was part of a group of lads who spilt open another kids skull in an attack with machete and golf clubs last year.

Wonder if true if it could have anything to do with him going missing?

Obviously hope he is still found safe and well.

although I strongly doubt the two events are linked.

That article is obviously getting circulated now and people are putting it together as a lot of the comments on the article are from the last 24 hours.

Nice to know you can batter someone with golf clubs, behave awfully in court, intimidate witnesses and not get a custodial sentance. Sell a few dodgy firesticks....4 years.

Anyway still hope the lad is found safe and well. Bit uncomfortable some of the friends are starting funding appeals but not at all specifying what they will use the donated money for.

Think that's a bug as they're all dated 4th August 2023 but the top bunch say last updated 13 mins ago etc

Says comments closed at the top

Unless a load have been deleted ?

They've been deleted. There was loads dated 19th and 20th June earlier.
