YouGov Poll - 33 Point lead!

Red wall voters don't seem to have a problem endorsing Sir Keir Starmer's Labour Party.

You'd think entirely differently if you were reading the Anna Turley thread.

Why would the Anna Turley thread make you think the targeted Red Wall voters aren't happy with the current Labour party?

Pro-Brexit? Check.
Anti-immigrant? Check.
Anti-socialism? Check.

Appealing to the voters who were willing to move right is the problem that the left are highlighting, both on here and on the Anna Turley thread. It makes it very difficult for any row-back down the line. It also makes it difficult for Labour to release a more socialist manifesto if that's somewhere in their plans (not likely, I know).

It's also not a new thing. I was party to a pre-match conversation between my dad and his best mate way back in 96/97 about whether Blair was appealing to people too far on the right at the expense of the left, and whether it would be possible to bring the country further left once in power. With the benefit of hindsight it's clear that a push left was never a part of the plan. As it clearly isn't now. So asking people to vote Labour because Starmer will suddenly do a U-turn is pointless. Once bitten, twice shy.
