Always used to have this with sunday dinner when I was a young un. Does anyone still have it?, or has it slipped away into the mists of time?
My grandmother used to serve a large yorkshire pudding as a starter before sunday dinner and we'd have this with it (and gravy). A taste sensation. I was talking about it to my wife the other day but couldn't recall the exact ingredients. Her's didn't have tomato, onion perhaps and something like shredded cabbage maybeAlways used to have this with sunday dinner when I was a young un. Same here, but it’s lettuce, not cabbage, with onion and mint in vinegar.
