Had the same problem with a ps5, managed to get one about 4 months ago, an unreal piece of equipment.

I think you're right, I'd just keep waiting out unless you are willing to pay over the odds on ebay. I paid £350 for a digital one and at the time they were going for 6-700 on ebay. It wad quite tempting.

I managed to get one on release day. I dunno if your stock tracker will alert you to all available XSX (within reason) but it might be worth looking for bundles, I tried to preorder and non were available anywhere but then went to the bundles section and they had loads available with an extra controller, it was just the base package that was sold out. Cost about an extra £60 but the controller just sits in the drawer for emergencies. This is how all of my mates ended up getting them, buying bundles with games they didn't really want.

This stock alert does cover bundles. It's a good idea and what I tried this morning. The one that came in stock was a bundle with Forza 4. I already have this game (in fact last night I pre ordered forza 5) but I figured it was worth it just to get the console. I could always trade in the game.
Good advice though, I don't think the stock tracker covers all retailers so I'll do a search for bundles.

They seem to be in stock a lot more than PS5s, I didn't think there was a struggle to get hold of them anymore.

I've just read that the PS5 is officially the fastest selling PS ever. I'm not having that. You simply can't buy one unless it's ebay.
I think both consoles have been hit hard by covid. I think it's more the lack of processing chips rather than actual getting them dispatched. It's probably cost both manufacturers a fortune.
I would like a PS5. Yet I'm in no rush and may even wait a year until they do a 'slim' version or different colours etc. They usually come down over £100 after a year / 18 months.

Would you recommend any other games? I bought the spiderman games and they are very good. Thought about assasins creed but I haven't played any of them.

Not sure how slim a slim version would be, they are absolutely massive.
Witcher 3, red dead redemption 2, assassins creed odyssey and origin. Depends what genre you like

How is breaking point? I've not had F1 2020 for long and am putting off upgrading. The only advantages I can see are the current driver line ups and breaking point. Is it worth me stumping up the cash?

Xbox isn’t that hard to buy, Twitter accounts cover stock for both Xbox and Ps5 alerts and Xbox ones are incessant, even ps5’s aren’t that hard to buy.
they also tell you which retailers have stock drops coming up. They’re only really hard to buy if you’re just checking shops manually, certainly would let overpay for one now

It really is. I've bene looking for one for a month now and I just can't grab one. Stock appears but gets snapped up straight away. What accounts are on twitter for this? I could do with the help

It's hard for me to say as this is my first F1 game since the N64
I've only played braking point so far and I'm enjoying it, the voice acting is a bit.. cringe, but bearable. I didn't look into it much before buying but it seems like you're thrown into scenarios, almost like they're trying to recreate Drive to Survive. It seems pretty linear so far, I'm nearly half through way and I've played it for say 5/6 hours.
I buy the new FIFA every year purely so I can play with mates online who also get it, if you don't play F1 online then it might be worth keeping your money

There aren't many PS5 exclusives that aren't extortionate prices to be honest, I'm waiting for a sale for most of them!
So far I've got Spiderman Miles Morales, COD Black Ops Cold War, FIFA21, F1 2021 and Assassins Creed Valhalla, I haven't even opened Valhalla even though I got it in January when it was on offer.
I've been mainly playing the better PS4 games with a PS5 upgrade. My favourite so far was The Last of Us 2, absolutely beautiful with the upgrade!

It really isn’t, I’ve bought several for my mates. You’re looking at the wrong stock alerts if you aren’t able to get any from the ones you are using.
