Hahah I only go there at this time of the year, some of the dips and cheeses from there are incredible! I got most of the frozen stuff from Iceland but the fresher stuff from M and S. I go to Aldi regularly aswell ! 😂
 
I'm quite looking forward to it, me and the Mrs usually have the stress of finding somewhere to go, spending far too much money and not really enjoying it.

This year it will be the three of us me, the Mrs and our 11 year old. Our local pub is doing takeaways, so we've got our order in for some lovely food, got a Perfect Draught system for Christmas, so got a nice keg of Leffe chilling ready to go tomorrow.

We have also been to the supermarket today and bought some party poppers, silly glasses, hats and them things you blow and they make a funny noise.

One thing though no Jools Holland as the missus can't stand him😕

I've got a Perfect Draft machine Pak. It was the best Christmas present I ever bought myself :ROFLMAO:

They really are the future, should have had another couple of kegs for tomorrow night but it would seem 6 litres doesn't last long at Christmas, or maybe they had a hole in the bottom😯

Can see it getting more hammer than any of the coffee machines I've had over the years.

I'm sure you know Pak but the strong stuff like Leffe, Kwak and Tripel Karmeliet should NOT be consumed by the pint 🤣🍺
 
Haven’t been out out on NYE since my mid twenties, much prefer a few early evening beers on Xmas eve. Tomorrow will be a “date night” in with the missus and a nice 3 course meal, and watch some TV and see the NY in with Jools
 
My New Year’s Eve will be exactly the same as every other one since my son was born, except I’m mostly off the booze at the moment (got loads of AF stuff to try though, even though most of it tastes similarly underwhelming).

Takeaway, TV, cheese/crackers and in bed by 12.30.

TBH even in my twenties I found NYE a bit of a chore. Was decent back when I was single, but if you’re not, it’s mostly a waste of time imho.
 
It's a Smiths NYE for me...
Since "Everyday is Like Sunday" anyway, "What Difference Does It Make"?

To be honest we've done the home thing for years now!
Wine for me / spirits for the good lady and some cheese n crackers with a bit of garlic flatbread.

Hahahah Netflix and Chill is long gone. With a one year old and a pandemic, we realised we’d been for 2 proper date nights this year and one of those was on her birthday.

So original plan was a three course meal. However now she’s changed Her mind and decided that since she doesn’t really breastfeed anymore she wants her first Chinese since she got pregnant.

I can’t wait for the dry mouth when I wake up on NYD

"night out together" will suffice. No need for teenage romcom terms of any kind. :)
