i dont think we did sit back,we tried getting the 3rd but couldnt manage it,blackburn are a dangerous team even with 10 men!!!!
That’s my only concern, cautious teams don’t get promoted or win close games against their rivals but fortunately we were playing against 10 men last night (!)just back and tbf my only criticism and it is a very mild one is that we were a bit too cautious towards the end - can totally understand it though and we got the win.
Absolutely happy and excited roofie!Michael Carrick said he would have liked a third to wrap it up.
But, from 21st to 6th in two months.
Being the third highest scorers in the Championship.
Having won 5 out the last 6.
Under Michael Carrick, we have won more away than at home.
We have the top scorer in the Championship and top player with most assists.
We have one of the highest average home attendances in the league and a Chairman who`s dont a great job getting Michael Carrick in.
If thats not good enough????...........................................

They never looked like scoring within that 25 minutes, we played it out perfectly.I spent 25 minutes waiting for the sucker punch. We should have killed them off.
they're a counter attack team, we were right to be a bit cautiousjust back and tbf my only criticism and it is a very mild one is that we were a bit too cautious towards the end - can totally understand it though and we got the win.
silly take mate, they might have been down to ten, but they still had decent ballers on the pitch, we gave them too much of a sniff to be honest. We should have just kept moving the ball not try and get a third. They were launching it long in the last 10, and at times because we were high pressing we were 3-vs-3, too risky already. We are not being critical, we are merely asking why we didn’t go for the jugular because we are good enough to do that ? And kill the game…
exactly that, it's exactly what you do vs 10 (and 11 sometimes), move it get the ball wide, switch it and make their whole team move back across the pitch, it really tests the stamina of every player. The thing about keeping the ball, we’re not just killing time; we’re making them run. We were dragging them across the pitch time and again, the attackers dropping in and pulling their defenders about. It’s knackering to be chasing and concentrating like that with ten men. When Blackburn did get it back they had no energy or power to create anything.
