Who is your favourite all rounder TV Chef?

Gordon or Gino for me.

Both bloody good chefs that let the food do the talking and don’t overpower with too many different flavours.

Genuinely done know how the likes of Jamie Oliver have got away with it for so long… every time I see a show of his the amount of different herbs, garlic or spice he uses must make the food taste nothing like what it’s supposed to

It depends on the food/dish you’re making. One of my fav dishes is a Thai curry which are renowned for their abundance of flavours.

I would argue in top of that you add herbs and spices to make it taste exactly as it should be

I still not a big fan of Jamie Oliver though, but he should be commended for what he’s tried to do with school dinners

Non really as its a semi skill RG🍳, some of the You Tube cooks are much better to watch. Although Floyd made me chuckle being drunk on TV.

I do like the Hairy Bikers. I'm not sure it's so much for the actual cooking. It's more about a couple of mates riding around and meeting people.

Also another shout out for Gordon Ramsey

Yeah i agree something like that is what it should be. But im talking about stuff like roast potato's with half a dozen other flavours added that are so over powering you are not going to taste any potato

another example was a lamb dish with so much crap on the plate you couldnt see the actual lamb... it was like a forest on top of it

YouTube has taken over TV for me, and there are loads on there who make dishes which are much more realistic for the average person, and they've got much better personalities too, and not stuck up their own ****.

Gino is funny mind.

If you're going to watch a TV chef, then I think you need to go all the way to the extreme, someone like Heston who's a bit of a mad scientist.
