Who are we all wanting to see replaced in the summer?

Dieng and Glover are average keepers who concede too many goals.

Keep
Brynn , Hemming. - bring them back to fight for the shirt.
VDB , CLarke, Bangura , Thomas
Jones, Mcgree , Azaz , Hackney, Obrien ,
Latt Latth , Forss , Coburn , Silvera.

Out
Dieng , Glover , Jamie Jones
Fry , Smith ,Mcnair, Ayling, Lenahan , Engel,
Barlaser , Howson ,
Hoppe , Gilbert, Greenwood.
Ruthless , maybe , we need
a new defence and keeper. Clarke and Bangura back ups.
A DM
A RB
A CF x 2
Do I trust us to get them ? NO .
Not renewing for 1st time since stadium opened , and 50 years a fan.

In regards to Gibbo. I don’t have a huge problem with him. EarlyBirdGate has been a bit of a misstep but I do think he has the best interests of the club at heart. I would like to see some additional investment though. Maybe that could be similar to what Palace have with Steve Parish running the club, but some richer investors who actually own most of it. I’d even be happy to bring in a company like Red Bull on a minority share which would improve our networking.
I'm not really fussed about networking. I'm not fussed about companies coming in to support us.l

Sorry to hear that, you must be really disillusioned.
I agree with giving the two local goalies a chance. They’ve both done very well in their respective loans.

I am disillusioned Craggsy yes.
Selling Rogers and then Crooks , I actually don't have a problem with , Rogers I reccomended to GG so good to know I know a player .
Crooks , £3m profit on a 30 year old , 👍
But to not bring in 1 replacement for them ?
I don't rate our keepers, so would like to give our own lads a chance, and , I think we could sell Dieng £2m , and Glover £500k which is another win win .
I am struggling with the way the club are treating the fans .
7th highest prices in the country ? For mediocrity.
We should be a club for the region , filling the ground every week by having reasonable prices for season ticket holders, which doesn't include a rise next season , and lower walk up prices to attract those who can only go occasionally..
I could go on , but won't , I feel let down and have had enough as it stands, will the club change my mind in the next 5 weeks ?
That would be nice , but very unlikely.

Keep - Dieng, Smith, McNair, Van Den Berg, Lenihan, Bangura, Engel, Howson, Hackney, Barlaser, Jones, McGree, Silvera, Latte Lath, Coburn, Forss, Azaz

Leave - Glover, Clarke, Dijksteel, Fry, Hoppe, Gilbert.

I'd use Sol Brynn as back-up for Dieng and I wouldn't sign any of the loanees on permanent deals.

Keep the bulk of the squad, and aim to spend most of the budget on players who we feel are going to be good enough for the first-team.

I'm easily confused, but what remotely would be our starting 11, next 11 out of that ?

all the negative as fcuk fans who start crying into their warm milk like chicken lickens at any set back and want the coach/owner/players/lady who pours the drinks/etc etc sacked cos they are clearly not up to the job.

Aside from VDB, i honestly don't care if we sell the rest. None of them have shown themselves in much glory this year, not consistently anyway. I think a bigger rebuild is required than some people think, who in this team is good enough to get into say Leicester/Leeds side & from there who would be good enough to stay in the team if we went up, yes if you go up you strengthen but you need a really good core of players to start that journey with and we just do not have that.

I can see the 'gems' as people see them like McGree, Hackney etc being sold to rebuild the squad.

But we often see well managed settled sides who play to their strengths do well, at the start of this season how many would have said Ipswich had a stronger squad than us and would be one of the best teams in the league? How many of the Luton squad would we have taken at the start of 22/23 campaign?

I hate the argument about not being good enough in the PL too. It is obviously a problem for most teams going up, even for those who are only down one season. We cannot as a club with our resources expect to even half fill the squad with players who can hold their own in the PL. It is insane to think we could, we can only sign the players we can to get us out of this league, who we hope and pray can step up and be an asset at the higher level. From recent seasons Tav and Jack Harrison have managed alright. We will have to find out when we get there (🤞).

The things we mainly lack are solid hardened pros who can play in our system, tough tackling, robust, athletic, organisers, talkers and leaders who will fight and compete when things are against us IMO. Three or four of those signed, plus six months free of significant injuries (🙏) along with a marked improvement to our cutting edge up front would utterly transform us IMO.

We are far too nice and easy to play against all over the pitch. Opposition teams coming to the Riverside must love it, who have they got to worry about?

No great pace, no great finishers, no aerial and physical threat at set pieces, no hard tackling/closing down harasser in midfield, no big nasty niggling centre halves, no niggling fouling fullbacks who'll close you down and put a hard tackle in when you're trying to cross. No leader / dark arts / shithousery in the refs ear, type players who can instigate a bit of time wasting, winding the opposition up etc. Whether you agree with it or not, it is very much part of the modern game and we are horrendous at it, the Karanka team were masters at it.

I'm just absolutely sick of us being soft touches, if we can blow teams away with our beautiful, fluid football then that would be perfect, but if we need to be a bit tougher and uglier to win when that isn't working, then we need to be able to switch gears and do that too, and we're nowhere near being able to do that with our current crop of players.

I've renewed, I still believe.

LB - (Engel/Bangura not convincing)
RB - (dijksteel/smith not long term options)
CM x 2 (only HH should be starting in a team with promo aspirations, and he might be off)
CF - (ELL has something about him but we need one other for sure)

Those above as a minimum.

A No 10 option and a LW option would be ideal with question marks over Mcgree's future allegedly and Azaz hasn't convinced, as of yet.

We don't really know what we need in the summer because we don't know who is leaving.

Assuming no one leaves other than loans. We need a right back. I am not sure about left back we haven't seen enough of bangura to know whether the 2 we have are sufficient.

We need a cm to replace howson.

We need a cf to rotate with manny.

We are probably ok across the back if our first choice cb's were available. Attacking mf looks ok to me.

However the reality is that at least one of Mcgree, Hackney and VDB are likely to be moved on. The likeliest is mcgree.

I suspect there is some knee jerking going on because of our last 2 home performances. They were bad.

I can't tell if you're taking the P or not

Still amazes me just how many people under rate Dael Fry. It baffles me.
Dael Fry is one of those players that when he has an off day, it tends to be really visible, awkward and noticeable. Given the other GLARING deficiencies in the squad, other positions I'd rather improve.

The issue with Fry is he isn't as comfortable on the ball as you would like for Carrick's style of play, but there needs to be a balancing act between ball players and a bit of grit/strength in there, so Fry is worthy of his place in the squad.
