Lots of messages on other threads alluding to poor recruitment / some of the players and other staff members not being good enough etc. Looking ahead to the summer, who do we want rid of and why do we want rid of those particular individuals. Assuming we have a bit of cash available to replace players and don’t just have to hold on to people to make up the numbers…
I would be looking to move on…
Dael Fry because he simply doesn’t fit the style of football and in my opinion needs a new challenge.
Dan Barlaser because he doesn’t have anywhere near the levels of defensive quality we require from a deep lying playmaker.
I wouldn’t be looking to keep Sam Greenwood because I think he has generally been quite poor, doesn’t really have a set position and I don’t really see a lot potential in him.
I wouldn’t be looking to keep Ayling as although I thought in his first couple of games he looked useful. He does now appear to be a player with a few two many miles on the clock.
I wouldn’t be trying to keep Luke Thomas as he simply looks poor. Nowhere near as good as our other options at left back.
I am guessing we will also lose Paddy McNair, Anfernee Dijkstell and Lewis O’Brien though I think they all have something to offer and in a perfect world would like them to stay on.
