I had Football Director too, it was a nightmare to succeed on it. As soon as you won a couple of games it put it onto a harder level. Think reaching the lower reaches of Division 1 was the best I did.Of course Sensible Soccer is king...but i also wasted years on the original Championship Manager (90-91 season?) I also has the Italia version, which i think was the 92-93 season...
Prior to having an Amiga... i played Football Director on the Spectrum... I felt like i was the only person in the world with that game... Middlesbrough were on it, but were spelt wrong...
I spent hours and hours playing Football Director, took ages to load... you could eat your tea and it still wouldn’t have loaded.Of course Sensible Soccer is king...but i also wasted years on the original Championship Manager (90-91 season?) Also loved Tracksuit Manager where you managed the England team, no action, just rolling text of the matches.

This was the game changer and largely inspired modern day F1 sims, microprose F1 was a total different world to the arcade styles that had pre ceded it. Great game I loved it.Geoff Crammond F1 on the Amiga.
Ha ha The old bontempi console showing your age now mateVery rarely got into any sort of computer games, apart from the retro table tennis ping pong game
I can well understand, at 12 years old out that late, crazy parentingI once bunked off school all day spent the whole day on my mates Atari I played pac man non stop without losing a single life for 18 hours straight only had to stop because his mother started kicking off.
I also got a right bolloc**g for coming home at half 3 in the morning too
I know right I just couldn’t see what the problem was I was convinced I had earned a place in the Guinness book of records at the time but by the end of the 1 week confined to my bedroom I had forgotten all about itI can well understand, at 12 years old out that late, crazy parenting
